It's okay for the on-sale price
Originally posted on columbia.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm trying to use up a gift card for Columbia and it's sure proving a challenge...the quality has gone way downhill. Out of 8ish things ordered at this point, this is the ONE THING I'll keep. Is it great? No, but it's a cheap little light fleece that will hide stains well and that I won't feel bad getting dog slobber all over. It's stretchy, so that's nice. No one's neck is actually this tall, though.

Not fleecy on the inside

No, I don't recommend this
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't care for this top, as I prefer to have soft material on the inside next to my skin. It's fleecy soft on the outside, smooth on the inside. It fits closer to the body, so I felt it fit true to size, but it's not something you'd wear with an item underneath or if you're self conscious about bulges. I thought it was flattering but just not soft enough on the inside for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product to wear under something. I wish it were a v neck instead of a zip but it is very warm and comfortable.

Open seam

Was looking forward to a new jacket, and loved the pattern. Pulled it out, tried it on, and everything looked great. Cut off the tags and wore it for about an hour, before I tried to pull the sleeves up to wash my hands and noticed a gaping seam in the middle of the right sleeve. The fabric was unevenly cut, and the thread had completely missed the edge when it was sewn. I'm so disappointed, since I'd cut off the tags before noticing it and now I can't return it, and the fabric is off enough that successfully repairing it myself seems unlikely (or ugly). This could easily be a one-off accident, but I'm disappointed in the quality. Other than the seam issue, the outside is much softer than the inside. The inside felt a little itchy, so I'd recommend wearing it with long sleeves underneath

Sleeves super long

A very nice top, but if the sleeves are going to be 3 inches too long, why not add thumb holes? As it is, I will have to hem the sleeves, which is annoying. I also bought a similar, pale blue and white-trimmed top, super cute, which has the same issues. I love Columbia clothes and have a lot of them! I have never experienced this sleeve issue before.

Runs Small, Thin Fabric, Floppy Collar

The navy houndstooth print was lovely. But the size ran very small, the fabric is very thin and the collar doesn't stand up unless fully zipped, just flops over

The material is so thin that nothin else mattered to me. I was super surprised that it could be fleece and be so thin.

Disappointing fabric
Originally posted on columbia.com

The black quilted fabric is, as other reviewers have said, so thin that it's see-through. The quilt pattern is more like perforations — you can literally see right through them when you hold it up to the light — which is an odd feature for fleece. Worse than that, the black fabric is always covered in light-colored pills that make it look old and worn even after just a few wears. I have to take out the lint comb and groom it like a Samoyed to make it look halfway presentable. Just a fail.

Not the same Glacial half zip that I am used to

I purchased a Columbia Glacial III half-zip pullover a number of years ago and it is one of my favorite cold weather tops. I was excited to get another one but was disappointed with the differences that I noticed immediately: 1. The one that I have has a contrasting "sporty" stretchy fabric on the inside of the collar, a detail behind the collar, and down the side panels. This helps to break up the fleece print and make it look more finished. 2. The one that I have also has contrasting sporty stretchy cuffs which make sure that the sleeves do not go below my wrists. This also makes the sleeves more practical and comfortable. This item appears to be made from the same lightweight fleece, where it is smooth on the inside, but none of the sporty details are present anymore. I purchased the black and print nocturnal feather print and while it is a nice print, it is a lot of print and I kind of look like a blob of black and pink feathers. I would appreciate the side panels in a black color as well as the trim on the wrists. This fleece also has odd piecing / seams around the wrist that I think are supposed to make it sporty or fit differently in the forearms, but all of the seams in that area just felt weird. I wish Columbia would go back to the style of the Columbia III fleece! It was much more practical and flattering.

I purchased the Dark Nocturnal Florescence in size Medium. This pullover fits TTS, fitted yet not too tight; will be a good underlayer come fall/winter. Well made, fun print. Colors are different in the online photos - more dark blue w/pink in person, not black w/orange. The reason why I gave it 4 stars not 5 .

Very lightweight and feels like a terry bathrobe

I am a big fan of quarter-zip pullovers and I wear them a lot. I usually buy a M (5.5”, 140) but I sized up to L based upon my bust size (38) and other reviewers’ tips. It’s a good fit in the shoulders/bust/arms but a bit large around the hips. Material is very lightweight and feels like a terry bathrobe. Definitely prefer the lighter weight fleece fabric but this is ok.

My favourite top when fall arrives, or cool summer nights

I LOVE this top. I think I have it in at least 8 colours and just bought another! It fits beautifully (I'm about a size 16 and wear the XL), washes like a dream, and is great for layering - t-shirt under it, or fleece over it, or both. It's a light weight fleece, so it's very flexible and not too warm. I wear them everyday throughout the cool/cold weather. (I'm retired so I don't have to dress up to go to work, lol.)

The shirt I reach for
Originally posted on columbia.com
On a cool morning, this is the shirt which I reach for over and over again. Comfortable, soft, warm but not hot. Washed well without shrinkage. Size up for a more comfortable fit which seems to be "par" for most Columbia clothes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This top is very warm and comfortable yet feels light. It is also very cute, nice contoured shape. Love the colors! I got my first one, then immediately ordered one in another color. I got for hiking as well as comfortable out and about wear. Plan to get in other colors as well because these two seem to be my go to tops!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This top is nice because it's not overly hot since the fleece is on the outside. With that said, I do advise tying your hair up, since fleece does make my hair staticky. But the color and fit were great (got it in Black Cherry)! Also works as a great layer on cold days.
