I bought 2 M&S cakes to order for my Mother in Law’s 80th Birthday, this tulip cake and a personalised chocolate cake. When I collected the Tulip cake I was delighted, as it looked amazing and was definitely bigger than I had imagined, it is really deep. I had bought a personalised pink ribbon and this really finished the cake off to celebrate an 80th Birthday. The cake makes a big statement and looks beautifully. It is extremely well made and the tulip decoration is stunning. The cake tasted beautiful and was very light and not too rich. The buttercream is sweet, so might not suit everyone but personally myself and my husband loved it. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it for a special occasion.

Bought for special birthday celebration - collected from local M & S on the day before needed. It was boxed securely for transporting and looked amazing. The sponge was light and moist and the buttercream icing was perfect The tulip decorations - also buttercream were colourfull and not too sweet. The jam and buttercream filling was delicious. All in all it looked and tasted fantastic. Would definately recommend.

The cake was really soft, light and delicious. The icing in the form of tulips was again light and beautiful. We really enjoyed the cake and will be buying it again for another birthday in the family. It would have been useful to have the birthday girl’s name on it. Perhaps on the side of the cardboard underneath it.

Tulip Cake for Golden Wedding anniversary

This cake made a lovely centre piece for our Golden Wedding anniversary buffet. It was much admired, and several guests asked me where I'd got it from. Plus, it fitted in with the "golden" theme, and the tulip decoration made it special. It was very moist, with 2 buttercream and one buttercream and jam layer fillings. The sponge cake itself was delicious. It also kept very well for 3 days after the party - the small piece remaining that was! A great success, I would recommend to anyone.
