Nice cake but very rich bordering on sickly. Very expensive for what is effectively a sponge with buttercream. Decoration was very lovely and looks fab on photos. My wife loved the look of it but the amount of sweetness not for the faint hearted!

This cake wasn't nice. The buttercream was too soft, overly sweet and grainy. The icing was also too soft, excessively sweet and had a synthetic taste. I was very disappointed and wouldn't purchase it again.

Bought this beautiful cake for my 60th birthday. Wasn’t disappointed. Looks amazing and received lots of lovely comments. Light, quality cake that tasted great. The only constructive point a couple of people made was that it could have done with a little more jam to balance the large amount of cream. Even so, would definitely recommend.

Had high expectations both in terms of delivery date and quality of the cake but M&S met both as usual although no email was received to tell me the cake had arrived so went into panic mode and straight to shop to check. They couldn't see it and eventually found it, had not been booked in as received !!!

It was a very beautiful tasting sponge and the icing decoration was as exactly the same as the picture. The only sad thing is that I think as they were loading it into the box they pushed it too far in and the leaf decoration were knocked abit but no one noticed thankfully
