I bought a birthday cake from Marks & Spencer for my daughter’s 40th birthday and it was absolutely delicious. The decoration was exquisite and really made it feel like a special occasion cake. We had a private dinner party in a restaurant and the staff took the cake through to the chef, who commented that he had never seen anything like it; which says it all. It was a big hit with everyone. My granddaughters were especially taken with the icing and only wanted the icing flowers cut off… which meant Nana had to give up her share of the icing! A small price to pay for such a wonderful cake. Highly recommended.

I ordered this for my mum’s 80th birthday and she was absolutely delighted with it when we brought it out for her! The Madeira sponge was moist and so delicious! The piped tulip flowers decoration on top was perfect and so beautiful. Perfect size and great value for money! I will definitely order this again for future celebrations.

A lovely cake that served a generous 24 people. It doesn’t say in it the description that the top of the cake is not all buttercream and decorations, but a small domed sponge that sits on top. Cake was well protected for transit
