Love this

Have been trying to buy this for ages but always sold out so was delighted when it came back in stock. Nice and warm but very light. Have the summer weight one and that washes up perfectly so don;t envisage any problems with this one (apart from getting it into the drum!)

Very disappointed. We purchased 3 of the integral duvets and 2 of three have seams which have come away at the edges exposing the duvet within and look terrible. I’ve had to sew them myself as returning in Covid times is a nightmare. Also these do not look anywhere near as fresh and bouncy after washing sadly. A great idea but the quality just isn’t there for regular use. Maybe for guests or a comfort blanket. Not forth the price tag on this occasion.

Edith 10.5 Tog Coverless Duvet & Pillowcases

Lovely quality and very light. Love the pattern of this duvet. Haven’t washed the duvet yet but too big for my machine. Can get it laundered. Hope M & S make more colours/patterns available.

So impressed

I've been thinking of buying a coverless duvet for some time for guests using my sofa bed. Glad I chose the M&S Edith 10.5 tog king size version, as the pattern is so pretty and makes it look less 'duvet without a cover' like. Yes, it is made of polyester but as someone who loves your 300 thread count bed sheets, this was still very comfortable to sleep under and it felt warm, lightweight and breathable. If you're less keen on the polyester pillowcases, there's also an Edith poly/cotton duvet cover set in the sale. Washed it successfully today. It did fill my 9kg XXL Zanussi Lindo 3000 drum but I checked on it a few times and once soaked it made more space in the drum for a thorough wash. 2 hours after hanging outside on a cloudy summer's day and it's almost dry, so impressed!

Expensive but worth it

I do think this is overpriced (have since found John Lewis does similar for a lot less. Having said that this is a lovely pattern and weight and looks a lot neater than standard duvet and cover plus for ease this is great.

I ordered this in super king, but received a v shaped pillow instead. When I phoned, I was told they cant send me my duvet because they're out of stock! Not impressed. At all.

Lovely pattern. It keeps you warm or cool somehow?! Washes well and dries in 2-3 hours. Hoping they bring more patterns out - we already have the pink spots!

Perfect solution.

I really like this duvet. The material feels so luxurious and it is so cosy to sleep with. Easy wash and heaven to not need to struggle changing the cover. Much more hygienic to wash the duvet itself each time.

Will Buy Another

I bought this to put in my spare room as I managed to buy on a 20% offer. I was very surprised when it arrived. It’s really soft, snuggly warm, really pretty and looks lovely on my bed. No struggling trying to put a duvet cover on, and definitely no ironing! I am looking to buy another.

I have bought a similar item from M&S in the past and it was really good which is why I bought another for guests to use. Unfortunately the edges of the duvet are actually sharp and uncomfortable to sleep under and I definitely wouldn’t want my grandchildren to sleep under it. The previous quilt I bought had a seen on taped edge but this one seems to be heat sealed with no binging and this causes sharp corners and edges. So disappointed M&S

The softest Duvet I've ever known
Yes, I recommend this
This duvet is absolutely fabulous. I was going to buy a sleeping bag for occasional sleepovers, but this is so much nicer. It is so soft I wish I had one for my bed too. And so pretty too :-)

Really cute and handy for visitors

I am really pleased with this duvet. The pattern is gorgeous and the material feels like top quality silky cotton. Guests will love it. I had a test snooze on the sofa and it was like sleeping under a cloud. The duvet on my actual bed is a new £200 goose down one and I now feel like I wasted my money as these coverless ones are practical, warm and comfortable.

Cover less duvet

I wish I had bought one of these before. I have a painful shoulder and I got so fed up with the struggle of removing and putting on covers that I considered going back to blankets and sheets. However, I decided to give these duvets a try and I’m so glad I did. It is as light as a feather, yet lovely and cosy. I have been sleeping much better under it. I haven’t washed it yet and I am a bit concerned about a king size fitting in the washing machine and tumble dryer. But I have decided either to take it to be laundered professionally, or to take it to the launderette round the corner. I intend to buy the 4.5 tog for the warmer weather and have recommended them to all my friends.

Ordered the king size which arrived a couple of days ago and we are using this, with a double flat sheet between us and the duvet, as our main bedding now. No more wrestling a king size duvet into a (let’s face it, often quite hostile) cover, no more annoying flap of empty material at the top of said cover after a couple of nights’ use, no more shelves groaning under the weight of piles of spare bedding, no more heavy laundry loads every week - just two sheets and two pillowcases and the duvet itself every so often. Haven’t washed it yet but I’m confident it will be easy when I do. The colour and pattern are beautiful and the feel is different from normal cotton bedding - it’s silky and very pleasant. It’s SO warm; we replaced a 10.5 tog duvet with heavy faux fur throw over it for this duvet and a cotton sheet and we both feel warmer. I also bought a double spotty one for the guest room. This is the future of bedding for me!
