Bath-time and getting ready
No one has time for buttons and poppers, especially when you have wriggly kids. Many of our sleepsuits feature a two-way zip for easy dressing.
Stash mini changing kits – complete with nappies, cream, wipes, and muslins – in boxes or baskets all around your home, so you're always prepared for a quick change.
Moisturise cradle cap with a bit of coconut oil, then use a baby comb to gently and gradually remove the flaking skin.
Try trimming your baby's nails while they're asleep. You'll find it's much easier when they're not moving around and their tiny hands are relaxed.
‘Paint’ nappy cream on with a makeup brush to avoid getting the goopy stuff all over your hands.
Use a hooded towel right after bath time to wrap baby up, including their head, keeping them nice and snug.
Nappy changes becoming more tricky as your little one grows and moves more? Distract them with special toys kept only for nappy time. It's a surprise each time, turning a chore into playtime.
Make getting ready easier

Feeding and mealtimes
Simplify mealtime by pre-portioning pureed single ingredients into ice cube trays. Freeze, bag and label. Then each day you can create new flavour combos by thawing and blending the different cubes. Get more weaning inspiration here.
Attach a hook to the back of baby's highchair to keep their bib close by.
Protect your dining area from mealtime messes by simply placing a disposable or washable tablecloth under baby's highchair. This is especially helpful if you have carpet, as it prevents stains and makes cleaning up much easier.
Easily keep track of which side you last breastfed on by wearing a hair tie on the corresponding wrist. Switch it to the other wrist after each feeding session.
If you use formula, measure out portions in advance and store them in individual containers for quick and easy preparation.
Create a cosy breastfeeding area stocked with all your essentials: water, a pillow, snacks, muslins and a book or tablet for entertainment. This will make nursing sessions more enjoyable and relaxing for both you and your baby.
Time to eat

Self-care
Trade those rushed morning showers for a relaxing evening one. Once baby is asleep, indulge in a warm, uninterrupted shower. No more mid-shampoo sprints to soothe a hungry baby.
If your bathroom has the space, consider adding a bouncer or other baby-safe seat. Having a dedicated seat for them can free up your hands, keeping baby entertained (and safe) while you tackle your own bathroom tasks.
Maximise nap time with a 'nap list'. Jot down quick tasks like emptying the dishwasher or checking emails. This helps you avoid decision paralysis and you also get the small thrill of ticking things off your list while baby sleeps.
Consider investing in a rocking chair or bouncer with a vibrate function. Many babies find the gentle motion and vibrations soothing, keeping them entertained for longer stretches, buying you more time to get on with stuff.
A baby sling is a parent’s best friend. You can rock your baby close while still ticking off those to-dos. Laundry, emails, even a quick bite.
Swap your regular mug for a flask. This will keep your tea or coffee hot for hours, ensuring you can enjoy it even if life's little interruptions get in the way.
Make time for you

Bedtime
A white noise machine or app can help block out distracting sounds and create a peaceful sleep environment. If it's consistently used during sleep, it can also create a sleep association, signalling that it's time to rest and making it easier for baby to fall asleep.
Swaddling helps newborns feel safe and sleep better by mimicking the womb and reducing their startle reflex. If you're unsure how to swaddle, your health visitor can show you the ropes.
Use bath products that encourage sleepiness in your little one, such as Bloom And Bloom Gentle Baby Bath, which includes lavender. Finish off with massage, using some relaxing oil specially formulated for baby.
A dim night light is essential for those nighttime feeds and nappy changes. It provides enough light to see without disturbing baby's sleep. A rechargeable lamp is a great option – it's portable and avoids fumbling for switches in the dark.
Use blackout curtains to darken the room. They create a cosy, dark environment that encourages longer naps and better sleep for baby.
Help baby sleep better

Out and about
Always have a change of clothes handy, both for you and your little one. A simple zip-lock bag is perfect – it keeps those spare clothes dry, and doubles as a handy storage for any unexpected messes.
Create a small emergency kit with essentials like baby paracetamol, a thermometer, antiseptic wipes, plasters and gel packs for bumps. Keep it in your bag at all times.
Feeling like your changing bag is a bottomless pit? Organise it with packing cubes, grouping items by category (nappies, feeding, etc). It makes finding things easy, especially when you're juggling a fussy baby.
A niche tip, but your car will thank you for this one. Baby powder is great at removing sand from feet really easily. Liberally apply the powder where the sand is sticking. Wipe off the excess and the sand will fall off with it, leaving baby with sand-free skin.
Create a baby go-bag for your car, stocked with nappies, wipes, dummies and changes of clothes. This ensures you're always prepared for on-the-go messes and unexpected needs.
