The one-and-done staple
As far as trends go, midnight blue (also known as dark navy) is as accessible as they come. Softer than black, yet just as elegant, the versatile shade looks good on everyone and can easily be weaved into pretty much any outfit, from work ensembles to hosting-at-home looks.
The most versatile piece this season? A midaxi dress. This satin crepe option from Autograph is cut on the bias for a slinky, flattering drape with a simple round neck and capped sleeves.
The showstopper
Amp up the glamour with this coordinating sequinned set that's guaranteed to make a statement. Consisting of a waistcoat, pleated skirt and jacket, this three-piece ensemble is ideal for wearing together or mix and matching with other staples – meaning there's endless outfit possibilities.
When not styling together, we love to pair the skirt with a slinky white shirt and knee-high boots. Or team the waistcoat with tailored trousers and chunky gold jewellery. Just throw the jacket on to tie it all together.
The winter warmer
Temperatures dropping? Cue the navy cardigan. You can't go wrong with a classic round-neck: our current favourite is Autograph's wool-rich style for everyday dressing. Alternatively, our V-neck design has a flattering cinched-in waist and striking over-stitched detailing. Try styling it with light-wash denim and a pop of burgundy via a cross-body bag or ballet flats.
If you’re wanting something with a bit more verve, Autograph’s polo jumper features sparkling gemstones at the collar: ideal for bringing a touch of glam to dreary days. Pair it with coordinating trousers, then dial it up for evening with chunky silver earrings.
The favourite foundation
Relaxed trousers are a wardrobe essential: smart, yet comfortable and easily dressed up or down. This wide-leg style are woven with glistening studs and shaped with a flattering high-rise waist. Pair them with a slouchy knit and pointed pumps for an effortlessly chic look.
For a sleeker aesthetic, lustrous satin trousers are perfect. Our M&S Collection style feel instantly luxe worn with an embellished knit or slinky shirt. Grab some heels and a clutch bag and you're ready for an evening out.
The final flourish
Don’t underestimate the power of a navy coat for tying a look together. We’re currently coveting this wool-blend utility jacket for going from desk to dinner. The boxy fit, neat pointed collar and flap pockets bring welcome structure, whilst the gold buttons add just the right amount of polish.
Turn up the drama with Autograph’s plush faux-fur coat. It’s the ideal, snug-yet-sophisticated finishing touch for evening events. Make it pop by styling it over a white mini dress or keep it tonal by pairing it with this crepe midaxi dress and kitten heels.
