Looks good, almost worth the price
Yes, I recommend this
When I read some of the other reviews I was a little worried about this purchase. Yes, the stem is made of 2 pieces, but you hardly notice the join unless you are looking for it. Yes, the cable runs down an external slot down the back of the stem, but again thats the side against the wall, so not noticeable. Forewarned, I still decided to buy because its a great looking lamp, and I'm happy with it. Although, it is pehaps a little overpriced!

Terrible lamp

Damaged in three different places. Even if it was not damaged i would not have kept it. Far too expensive for what it is. The base comes in two pieces, which were completely different colours.

Conran Oak Floor Lamp - Disappointing

I am just about to return my second one of these floor lamps. The product description doesn't mention that the lamp comes in 2 halves. Both lamps I received had a very obvious join. Conran branded pull ring and the channel for the flex not mentioned in description either. Lamp looks great on website, however very disappointed with the ones I received.

Expensive, but unusual and very cool. Good quality oak and a lovely simple shade. Cute ring pull too! Only pb was it must have had a bumpy journey as some screws were loose in the box!

This lamp is heavy and looks nice. It is expensive for what it is. The nice design is slightly spoiled by the dreadful Conran "signature" ring pull for the switch.

This lamp looks great. Be aware you have to put it together yourself. The wooden stem comes in two pieces, and the join can be seen.I thought for the price that there would have been a light bulb included!

Solid contemporary light

Delivery was prompt and well packaged to avoid damage in transit. Given the price I would expect a lightbulb to be included. Some minor assembly required as the pole comes in two halves and comes with three screws to secure together, a handy mini screwdriver included. The pictures do not clearly show that the cable (a thick grey fabric covered) runs down a groove cut out of the pole rather than being hidden in the middle of the pole. A design feature perhaps but some may find this unsightly. The solid oak pole and base are sturdy and good quality. The shade is large and provide a lovely warm light. The pullstring on/off swtich is easy to reach. A light which will last a life time.
