Great bag but falling to pieces after 6 months

I really like this bag and but the zip stitching came undone and the mesh on the back/straps has started to come loose, so not good for a long term purchase

Backpack disaster
Originally posted on sweatybetty.com
✨ I really wanted to love this bag. ✨ It looked so stylish — that perfect shade of blue to upgrade my boring commute. I waited ages for it to come back in stock and was practically doing a happy dance when it finally arrived. But let me tell you: the excitement ended the moment I loaded it up. Laptop in? Heavy. Notebook in? Heavier. Water bottle, charger, everyday bits and bobs? Suddenly I felt like I was hauling a small planet on my shoulder. I wanted chic and effortless. Instead, I got an accidental workout and a sore back. So sadly, back it went. If you’re looking for a bag that doubles as a weightlifting session — go for it! If not… maybe keep browsing.

Uncomfortable and impractical, regret my purchase

No, I don't recommend this
I had high hopes for this backpack, but overall I’m disappointed with the purchase. On the positive side, the quality of the materials seems good and the outer fabric is waterproof, which is definitely useful. I also appreciate the separate shoe compartment at the bottom. However, the overall design leaves much to be desired. The backpack sits very awkwardly on my back and tends to pull away from my body no matter how i adjust the straps, which causes discomfort and back pain. The shape is quite bulky and wide, making it difficult to navigate crowded streets. It doesn’t feel ergonomic or sleek, and frankly looks a bit odd when worn. The interior is frustrating to use — it’s lined in black, which makes it hard to see anything inside, and there aren’t many internal pockets. The few that are there are hard to locate, so the space just becomes a big, jumbled compartment. The closures are also poorly thought out: the top roll closure is fiddly and time-consuming to secure, while the front pocket opens too easily and doesn’t feel safe for city commuting. To make matters worse, the outer material marks easily, detracting from the overall appearance. Because I ordered from overseas, returning it would be difficult, which adds to my disappointment. I would strongly advise others, especially international buyers, to think twice before purchasing.

This bag is perfect for commuters. I can fit my laptop, cables, lunch and a change of clothes since I cycle to work. Being synthetic, content don’t get wet if it rains.

What a game changer bag! It fits absolutely everything I need to carry with me without feeling too heavy or looking too bulky! Laptop, lunch box and all the things you need for a day to work (umbrella, water bottle, shoes etc. and you still have space). Only thing I regret is not getting it sooner!

What a wonderful bag! Perfect size to fit all kit, numerous pockets inside and out, great wipe clean fabric, zip pocket at the bottom for trainers, comfy padded shoulder straps, handy zip opening at the front so you can get access to your things rather than delving in at the top. It’s a great bag

Great bag lots of pockets but too heavy so I had to return it. It has a lot of space so once filled would just be too much to carry. Also the fold over design wasn’t very secure.

City Goer Backpack - way to go!
Originally posted on sweatybetty.com
I just love this backpack, as it's very roomy, and you can pack all your essentials. It is also waterproof, with comfortable padded straps. I particularly love the separate trainer compartment at the bottom, which is ingenious in its practicality. Unlike other backpacks I have had, it is also quite stylish.

Great backpack. Very waterproof, but still feels soft and premium. Comfortable straps, feels great on. High quality zips and fastenings. Ample space, love the laptop pouch and the separate shoe compartment. Perfect rucksack for commuting. #teamSweatyBetty

I bought the bag as I needed a backpack to put all my work stuff in, including my shoes. It’s roomy and the entire bag doesn’t feel too heavy. It is bulky, though (even if it’s not full). I was also assisted by the Live Chat team when encountered an issue with delivery. Overall I would recommend.

Beautiful backpack but not for running

The bag is super roomy and looks great, loved the idea of the shoe compartment at the bottom. But this would have been impossible to run comfortably with - needs another strap around the waist. If I had got this to cycle with I would have kept, but as I need a bag I can run to work with I’m returning. Sad as my old running backpack was Sweaty Betty and it served me so well for years!

Bought this rucksack for swimming. It is a great size, and very comfortable to carry while running, appreciate the chest strap and that it is definitely waterproof. It is a great size to carry everything 28L, with the added bonus of access via the front zip flap as well as the top opening.
