Ale/Bitter
No, I don't recommend this
I don't know if it was the single bottle I bought was part of a bad batch or the brewers have a unique and unsatisfactory take on porter. Either way this is not porter so really disappointed

Poor

Insipid ruby coloured beer with artificial chocolate taste. This is not a real porter.

Stockport in a Bottle
Yes, I recommend this
Being from the same neck of the woods I've been a fan of both Robinsons and Simon Dunn for years. One is a brilliant brewer (Unicorn, Trooper etc) and the other is a very skilled chocolatier. Naturally their offspring is a very talented beer, rich, full bodied and quite an experience for any dark beer enthusiasts.

I am not an ale drinker but this is refreshing change to my red wine. It must be a popular seller as I have trouble getting it in my local M & S

I need more of this
Yes, I recommend this
I had only the one bottle but it was so good, I immediately wanted to get more. Delicious, it is basically a rich dark beer with lovely caramel and (a little) chocolate flavour. Not heavy at all. Very drinkable indeed.

STORE MANAGERS CHOICE
Yes, I recommend this
Tried this on the recomendation of a former store manager of your Newtonbreda branch who shall remain nameless to protect his identity.Whilst i found it drinkable it is certainly an acquired taste and about one bottle is as much as i can manage as it's quite heavy and rich. After which i move on to something more palatable such as your vintage cider.
