Love the colors...but these kill my foot and knees

This was my third pair of Hokas...Clifton's, Biondis and now the Challenger. I couldn't wait for them to come in....then they did, and I put them on...and almost immediately something in my knees felt funny. So I took them off and waited for the lock laces and it wasn't so bad...thinking they were maybe too tight and using the wrong socks. They feel really RIGID. Yesterday, I took the longest walk and I could not wait to get home, and I wanted to chop my left foot off because it hurt so bad. This morning, I put my Biondis on and all is well again...wow. Too late to return and it really sucks because I love the new color combo, but I just can't wear these any more.

There is no way these shoes are Gore Tex, my feet were soaked, so disappointed in the quality for the cost, Hoka's arent what they used to be.

Good choice

Good sneakers. Good for walking. I wear 9 and ordered 9. They feel a bit too big. Have used them twice and walked total of 6 miles.

I bought these because I loved the color, when I put them on, I was skeptical, but when I took them out for a walk, I was very impressed with the soft comfort, like walking on pillows and I can feel the support and stability! I'd recommend these and will be ordering a couple others styles that are meant for just walking! I waited a year to purchase, as I just loved the color I'd chosen, I wish I'd gotten them sooner☺️

I use the Challenger 7 GTX for all my hikes. Did two 13 mile plus hikes in them and they are great. I wish they'd bring back more colors. I may try the Stinson, but I like the waterproof feature on the Challenger I recommend them to my girlfriends

Like they are rugged & waterproof; but the worst foot feeling to wear during the rainy season. Feet feel miserable. My other Hoka are better.

Since my doctor told me I had plantar fasciitis I searched for a shoe that would give me pain relief from my feet and knees. I tried hoka and have been a proud wearer every since. The soles of these shoes are like little clouds from heaven. Hoka is now my go-to shoe.

I have worn Challenger for years with great fit and comfort - wore out my 6's.These 7's are a huge disappointment! Too narrow in the tow box, the raised lip pm at the heel is not comfortable- my heel slips!!! I tried to get them to feel comfortable but they don't work! Returned.

We had hoped this new iteration would take you to new heights and we're sad to hear they fell flat. Take your trail running to the next level with our Stinson 7, providing a little more room and a maximum cushioned sole. Give them 30-days to impress you through our 30-day guarantee bit.ly/HOKA30Day and if they don't cut it, easily send them back through our worry free exchange process: bit.ly/HOKAEXRT.

I wore these sneakers to Six Flags Great America. As most know, that's an all-day event that requires walking. My feet did not ache one bit.

Not the same as regular Challenger 7

Challenger 7 got me through the Camino and are my miracle shoe. So I was excited to find the same model with gore Tex. However, after purchasing , and walking long distance, they didn't have the same comfort feeling as the regular ones. The fit was stiffer and it seemed that I could feel the top edge of the shoe rubbing my ankle bone. I kept trying to break them in by wearing often to soften the feel, but unfortunately they don't seem to be getting any better but too late to return. So probably attribute it to the gore Tex which I've read can make a shoe stiffer and less breathable. Also, didn't seem to be as much cushion, but hard to know why they aren't as comfortable. The regular ones were amazing right out of the box, no breaking in. My only wish is that they would make more colors, like white ones. I'm really getting tired of the bright colors and would prefer more muted.

Too Big

Very comfortable! I love the colors and the style. However, they are big for a size 5. I kept them because I do like the style and no smaller options. Or sure I would buy again.

This shoe is NOT waterproof. I bought this shoe so that I could walk in the rain and keep my feet dry. I just went out for a rainy walk and my feet got soaked. I didn't even try to walk through puddles. I would really like to return these shoes. I like HOKAS and have worn them exclusively since seeing them at the expo for the Chicago marathon in 2010.

I have several pairs of Hokas and love all of them except for this one. The shoe is narrow (made my foot fall asleep) and tilts down towards your big toe when walking. Should have listened to the reviews - had to return.

Good performance, but the fit is off
Originally posted on hokaoneone.com

I've had somewhere between 8-12 pairs of Hokas over the years (including trail runners, water shoes, and hikers) and this pair definitely has the worst fit of all of them. On me, the shoe runs small. My toes hit the end and don't do that in any of my others. I have the GTX version, so I wonder if that is a result of the waterproofing? The arch also seems a bit low or off in a way I can't put my finger on. That being said, I bought these shoes with GTX mostly to walk our property with my dog and not worry about my shoe soaking through from wet grass. These hold up great for that! I have decided to not use them for any other outdoorsy purpose because of the fit. I'm still giving them 3 stars because the GTX is great and the shoe is durable. I'd try them again maybe a half size bigger to see if that helps.

These are sturdy, supportive, and seem to have good cushioning, but the arch support is lacking. The color is more red than the photo... not really orange.
