I don't normally write reviews, but I wanted to on this occasion. I bought this cake as my birthday cake, choosing it based on the many positive reviews and because carrot cake is one of my favourites. I'm so glad I did—the reviews were absolutely right! The cake was delicious, with a wonderfully moist sponge packed with plenty of walnuts. Everyone who had a slice thoroughly enjoyed it and commented on how tasty it was. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. Well done, M&S!

I purchased this cake for my husbands 60th birthday as he loves a carrot cake. It was fabulous! Moist and not too sweet. Very easily does 14-16 portions. Everybody agreed it was one of the best carrot cakes ever! It is important to follow instructions and not store in a fridge!

We are great fans of carrot cake and tried many over the years, but out of the plethora, this one has so far come out on top. Perfect amount of frosting to cake layers, nuts on outside and easy to remove for those that don’t want them, as well as have for those that do. Cake was moist and stayed fresh for a few days after collection.
