Thank You Day on 4 July will be the country’s biggest ever thank you party. Backed by hundreds of organisations across the UK, including the NHS and the Scouts, it’s a chance to get together and celebrate those in our communities who’ve helped us through the past 18 months. There’s so much going on for Thank You Day, with nationwide events including ‘cheers for volunteers’ and a dedicated Park Run. As part of the celebrations, author and artist Charlie Mackesy has created an original artwork to mark the day. Find it in store on our bespoke card, which will make a thoughtful gift.
Pick the perfect present
Whether it’s a community volunteer, NHS worker or neighbour, we all know someone who deserves a special thank you. Host a cheese and wine night
Pull out all the stops by treating your nearest and dearest to a night of incredible cheese and wine. Try studding a camembert with rosemary and garlic and baking it in the oven until oozy and melted. Complement the creaminess of the molten cheese with French fizz such as a champagne or crémant. For maximum Spanish flavour, serve nutty manchego with olives and walnuts alongside a mature, full-bodied rioja. Finally, match the richness of taleggio cheese with the balanced flavours of stone fruit and pear in a gavi. Serve the taleggio on sourdough with slices of pear, thyme leaves and a drizzle of honey for sweetness.
Raise a glass
No day of celebration would be complete without a cocktail or two, and our cocktail can hamper is just the thing.
