Baker Boy Winter Hat

Although I have marked this cap as on the big size, I have a big head and have difficulty finding a warm hat that can cover my ears and not look like a tea cosy! This one is great and looks quite smart I had one in the 70s and used to get quite a few compliments- lets hope this Granny can get a few more!

after reading other reviews, they mostly said it was too big, but i found it to be the opposite, gosh i must have an awfully big head !!!!!. style wise i liked the idea of the peak as i wear glasses and thought it would protect them from the rain if i was out walking. i didnt like the lining it was very cold when first put on, would have been better had it been fleecy.so had to be returned.

Was looking for a hat with a visor to protect face from rain/wind and this does the job. Is a lovely snuggly fleece/short fur which is pretty warm. Only thing is it’s a bit on the large side but that’s okay for me as I can tuck my long hair in at the back which makes it stay put.

Great hat, good quality fabric, very warm and it looks très chic.

I have had many M & S hats, mainly baker boys as I have severe hair loss. However this hat was far, far too big for me. There is so much fabric in the 'bowl' it looked dreadful. not for me, returned sadly

I had been looking for a new baker boy hat and looked online at many stores and independents and went for this one based on style colour and price. Delighted with style and price, although one size it is a little big for me but for me it's great . No marks when I take it off and doespecially not flatten my hair and I don't feel like I got it on . Had loads of comments over the weekend of wearing and am looking ato a grey tweed one on here now !! Top marks for this one

As the other reviewers have said, this must come up big. Or rather, I think it is just right! Most hats seem to be soooo small. I now think that my head must be massive, yet I'm sure it can't be. How delightful to read others saying the same. Anyway, hurrah! At last, a hat that fits. And it is soft, velvety, and looks très chic. Lovely colour too - sort of twilight sky. One reviewer was sad the brim is not hard, but this is something I really like about it. I don't like the hard brims so much, and not only does it just feel soft and forgiving, it's easy-peasy to roll up and stuff in a bag so you don't leave it behind (a common problem with my hats and gloves.) Bought 2. Just in case.

Lovely, looks much nicer in person than it does in the website photo. Beautiful colour and shape, satin lining feels nice. Will keep me warm through the winter. Fits my very large (60cm circumference) head with only a little squeeze, so it should fit almost everyone. Some small niggles: The brim has no stiffener inside. It hold its shape reasonably well, but I would have preferred the more common stiff brim. Aesthetically I would also have liked a covered button on top of the crown where all the panel stitching meets, as is usual with this style of hat. The fabric attracts pet hair and other fibres, so it needs tape or a sticky pet hair roller to keep it looking good. I'm not certain this hat would do in heavy rain or snow, it doesn't seem very water-resistant. Overall, for the price it is a good winter hat. It's comfortable, attractive and warm.

THIS HAT IS NOT TOO BIG! At last someone are making hats for heads that are not the size of a grape!!!!!!! For years I have tried to find stylish hats that fit. Marks and Spencer's are for once making hats that are not just ONE SIZE!!!! ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL RETAILERS. At Christmas I was delighted to be in marksies for food when I saw the hats. I normally just walk past them . I thought they will be the same as everywhere else the pain in the rear one size fits all. When looking at the labels I saw S M L . I tried on large and inwardly screamed because it FITTED my non size grape head. One reviewer said the hat is large , it is if your head is the size of a grape!!! I have thick hair and a head bigger than a grape. This hat fits great. I just snipped the elastic and the fit is great. Even a inch or to bigger would have not been too big. So thanks marks I bought this one and another baker style in store. Cheers. Keep up the good work. Even a little larger would be great. It is a bit of a shame though all your hats are not this size. I would have loved the Cloche or Buckle hats to fit because I would have bought them in many colours to. Please make the Cloche hats bigger and when you do email me. I will be waiting hopefully not for ever.

Sizing has varied over the years for hats, I used to wear medium/large but for quite a while now, small/medium. This hat is very big on me, so be warned people with small heads!! However, the description is Winter Hat and it does cover my ears and at the back, most of my neck, so will keep out the winter chills, so can't really complain. Just hope the material doesn't stretch further or the peak will be down over my eyes. I am happy to keep it, can't complain at the reasonable price and a style I like which shades my eyes, can be worn either for casual or smart.
