Lovely comfy knickers. I usually have a cotton bag over my stoma bag cos I get irritation from the plasticky stuff the bags are made of, but don't need them with these knickers with integrated pouch. I'd like to be able to get some white or flesh coloured ones though?

As Newbie to a stoma I heard about stoma knickers and was told M&S do them and have great reviews. I ordered two packs, one pack was in the sale so bargain. I was surprised how comfortable they are, I was wearing a dress, was readmitted into hospital and the nurse could not believe i had a stoma, I show her my knickers. She was well impressed and was showing patients.

I’ve had my stoma almost 5 years and I use high waisted briefs every day, so I was super excited to use these! First of all, having to order online is not ideal when the fit is absolutely crucial to the support we need for our stomas, therefore these should be available in store. Next I felt overall, although I’m very grateful for the inclusion, I felt something was amiss about these. The extra layer of support at the front is a nice thought but it would be better if it served more of a functional purpose. For example it could be made from the same adsorbent fabric as period underwear to soak up any liquid if a leak was to occur. The extra fabric for support at the front was no more useful than normal high waisted briefs without it. It just made me feel warmer in the summer and was harder for me to use the bathroom in a hurry.

Not Well Designed
No, I don't recommend this
These stoma knickers are not well designed. While there is an inner pouch for the stoma bag, there is no small opening at the leg base of the knicker for easy access to the drainage valve which means you have to pull down the entire knicker to empty the stoma bag. Other stoma knickers feature this much more convenient design. They are no improvement over my regular M&S knickers. Will not buy again.
