This set are very elegant and can be used for any occasion, my only gripe is that the plates are huge and don't fit in the dishwasher very well, they might also encourage over large portions to fill the size, my previous set of plates were much more reasonable in diameter!

We bought this set to use everyday. It is smart but not too showy. The plain white shws food to advantage and is complemented by the rings at the edges- not sure if they are black or dark navy. Simple but smart. The bowls stack well, which was important in our choice. The rims on the large plates are perhaps a bit too wide- they tend to limit how much food you serve- probably no bad thing. The set fits OK in the dishwasher, though the large ploates only just go in the rack. No problems so far with robustness, though as it is china I am cautions with heat.
