The Olive Slip

There is no way of reducing the straps easily and the bustling would be in the wrong place if I adjusted the straps to my needs. Sent back which is a shame as the quality was lovely. Would suit a tall younger body.

I really hoped that I would love this slip as it is excellent value for money. However I wasn't keen on the fabric - very slippy and feels cheap - and the length is quite unflattering, right on the knee on me and I'm 5'3". Comparing it to the image of the model who is much taller, I had hoped it would be a mid-length slip, but was just not quite right so I had to return it.

Delivery, quality, excellent. Dress could have been a little longer and then it would have been perfect

Absolutely love this elegant little dress. Fits me perfect and the length is just right. Have ordered the cream mix dress too. Both dresses will look fabulous with a nice light Cardigan

This dress looks nicer than I thought. Although it hasn't got an adjustment on the straps, it hangs nicely. I was worried to show my bra straps but no worries. When I tried this dress on without my bra, it looks perfect. I don't need to wear my bra because it's black, my chest is covered properly. My chest is not small, but no problem! True to size. I'm 5'4, the dress comes up to just little bit below my knees. I prefer bit shorter than this but looks ok though. It's on sale, good price! Highly recommended.

This dress is lovely, fits perfectly and hangs like a dream. This will be worn many times over the holiday period and for years to come I am sure.

What should have been a chic slip dress ended up as a return as there is no possibility to adjust the straps. I am a standard M&S 14 but the Olive in a 14 was far too big and fell far too low past my bust. Because none of the designers thought of creating an adjustment on the straps, there is no way I can wear this dress now. The fabric, cut and on-trend print are spoiled by the M&S designers who really should be looking at these reviews.

I can see where the designer is coming from but it needs a re-think . Shoulder straps you can alter length .The material is a bad choice for summer , a cotton mix to prevent it creasing .You would have to iron it when you arrived on holiday ! However the style is demure ,reminds me of Miss Marple styles which are the look at the moment .As it is, it's O.K. for the garden .Re -vamp it and I think it would be a good buy and popular .

This dress would be suitable for a hot climate as it's very thin and cool. Had to send it back though as the straps had no adjustment, and my bra showed as it was far too low.

Yes the fabric is a bit polyester and the white looks too much like a nightie....but the black one is a lovely summer dress! Looks lovely with a cropped cashmere cardigan....casual and laid back

M&S - you missed a trick here - this could be wonderful - it really needs adjustable straps so it can be worn without a vest underneath. Summer slip dress - cotton please. Love the style and print and not sure whether to keep it ...

Went up a size to 16 as 14 fitted perfectly at bust (38DD) but did not skim over my stomach nicely, the size 16 did not show any bumpiness. So it was a trade off as the 16 is a little loose at the chest. Material is comfortable and not too bad considering the cheap polyester fabrics used in other dresses in this range. Falls at the knee (5ft8). Worth buying in my opinion.

This dress is amazing! Perfect for many occasions! Would highly recommend!
