The Eliza Dress

Absolutely love this gorgeous dress. Perfect for all year round, bright colours and retro style with some modern detail. Would recommend. I receive so many compliments when I wear this "You look absolutely incredible. That dress is insane" being an example. You will not regret buying this dress! The tie around the wait gives it a gorgeous shape and it's not too short or too long, just the right length for a comfy but stylish day dress.

I love the paisley print of this dress and although I was a bit unsure of the high neck I decided to order one to see what it was like on - sadly I was disappointed and had to return it. The pattern and the quality of the cotton are perfect, the length I also found was fine (despite being almost 5ft 7) The overall fit of the dress is slightly big; I'm a size 10 and probably could have done with a size 8. I found the cut of the dress really unflattering and shapeless and the flaring of the skirt made my hips look massive! I don't think the tie backs look good either. The high neck is fussy and I can imagine anyone with a large bust would look quite matronly in this. If this had been made with a crew neck and cut in a straighter tunic/shift style without the tie backs it would have been a stunning dress. A real shame!

I had been eyeing this dress for weeks before I decided to purchase, when I did my size was completely out of stock. I ordered a size up so it will be slightly bigger of course but I really wanted the dress. When the dress arrived it was filthy, fortunately M&S sent a new one to me and resolved this issue. Now that I have it, its really not worth the hype, it looks nice, but the colours aren't as vibrant as the pictures, the dress rides up constantly and its a little stiff, also the neck is quite tight, I have quite a slim neck as well. It really is beautiful, but I wouldn't pay £45 for it again even if they had my size.

I was excited to try this dress as it was an original design from 60/70s. However it is not an A line shape, but a rather frumpy belted at the back apron style. Which is really unflattering, for me at least.

I was not sure about this dress - I was worried it could be a little "busy" I wanted to see it in store before buying but could never find it - eventually ordered online - so pleased with it - I am a size 10 /12 and the 10 fit perfectly - some reviews said it was too short but I found it to be a perfect lengh for me (I'm 5.3) - love this dress, it will be great for the summer but could also wear in the cooler weather with tights and a cardi! Worth every penny!

I loved this dress in so many ways- the style and fabric was great. I agree with previous reviewers about the oddly high neck for a summer dress. The thing that meant it had to go back was just how short it was- I'm 5 8 and it only came to my upper thigh. I could have worn it as a tunic top, but that wasn't the look I was trying to achieve. Such a pity

I bought this hoping that I would look like Alexa Chung in it but I looked more like a Victorian boy. I absolutely love the dress, the fabric is very light so you can wear it in warmer weather, I also found it to be true to size and not too short (although I am 5"2) but it just didn't suit me :( On the right person, this dress would look amazing.

I was so excited when the dress arrived and it looked lovely. However, it was much too long on me (I'm 5ft 3) and too big as well. On the other hand, I'm sure it would look lovely on someone taller. It also arrived with mud all over the bottom of the dress which was very disappointing.

The classic case of Marks and Spencer's sizing strikes again. I have three different sizes that I can buy from this shop, I am normally a 12. The 10 in this dress fitted me perfectly the 12 was miles to big round the arms and bust. I am a pear shape smaller on the top and wide on the hips (14) I am also 5'11 and this dress was way to short! I'm gutted as I loved the print but as soon as I even slightly lean to the side it gets a little explicit. I could wear with tights or leggings but for the price that it is I can't justify £40 on a dress that I can't wear bare legged for the summer. Hopefully this will be in the sale or cheaper in a store event, that I may purchase later in the year. I would recommend down sizing unless you have a large bust.

Nice pattern does look different than the picture. Firstly when I tried it on I was unable to zip the dress up alone which is problematic, the material is quite stuff and thick. He major problem was how short it was. I'm 5ft 4 and this dress was way too short.

Color disappointing not the same as shown on website. I liked the style.
