I wouldn't normally have reviewed these but M&S sent me an email to review. I absolutely love M&S but these are a total disappointment. I won't wear them again they are rock hard and uncomfortable. Wore for 4 hours if that and won't be even attempting to break them in if that's even possible.

I bought a pair of these in a dark beige colour last year and have quite literally worn them out. They were so comfortable I wore them in the house as well as outside - in fact, I was hardly ever without them. So I was really pleased to find M&S restocking them again this year and, this time, in black which is my preferred colour. They're just as comfortable as my previous pair (I take a 7 and these are true to size). They're a good quality suede type fabric which I've sprayed with a shoe protector to keep them nice. Why people pay three times as much for Birkenstocks is beyond me as I don't think these from M&S can be beaten for fit and comfort. 10 out of 10 from me.
