Straight Fit Japanese Selvedge Jeans

I bought same Autograph blue color at the Western Road Outlet at Brighton of the said “Japanese Jean” but ordered for the black unfortunately M&S delivered opposite of the anticipated quality. I haven’t returned but not happy with it but having torn the tags and worn it once to check out the fitting but it’s what it should be. JD sports or Soletrader may be small but trust whatsoever you ordered from them.

I’m a big of a selvedge denim fan and thought I’d try these jeans. The sizing is a bit hit and miss even within what is the same size. Found leg openings slightly wider on some and narrower on other. But found a good fitting pair. Workmanship is good with some minor issues around consistency of pocket angles on the pairs I tries. I would like to see better quality bass rivets on a decent material with a solid YKK zip, which usually avoid. First wear and they felt comfortable and the stretch was actually nice to have as I usually avoid selvage with it, as warps can occur in the fabric after time. The jeans are comfy, look good with turn ups and on boots and trainers. The true test is long term with how they fade and the durability. I did go back to get a second pair as they will become my daily wear over Levi’s and found the price had jump £15. Will still get them as they do seem a bargain. But I still will use my Hiut Japanese selvage which are 7 years in and still going.

Excellent quality with turn up white fabric detail - this can be turned down to hide. Excellent true to size fit in waist and length

Brilliant jeans at a fantastic price have no hesitation recommending them

excellent quality and at a very good price point. I have bought other Selvedge jeans but am confident I will enjoy these the more they soften and take on my shape. Isn't that what it is about? Even bought them in white. As I had bought other jeans and new my size I was happy to buy online, confident they would fit, but even the big stores (in my case Belfast) dont stock enough sizes to buy or even try on.
