Stormwear™ Cotton Rich Waxed Look Cape

I bought this cape and returned it as it wasn't really flattering. It was constantly on my mind so I bought it again and glad I did. I used it during a yellow weather warning for rain and it kept me dry and comfortable. The hood is detachable but this jacket will only come out when it's threatening rain so I doubt the hood will be removed. You would need to wear a warm jumper underneath in the really cold days but I found it warm enough. This cape will fit anyone, it's very roomy. I'm glad I changed my mind and I've even bought the same cape for my sister in law for her Christmas.

Difficult to put on - unless standing in front of a mirror!

I've been looking at capes for ages, since getting a very basic one on a trip in Norway and this one is exactly what I wanted. I'm 5ft3 and size 16 and a lot of waterproof jackets swamp me or are too tight around the bust and I get very uncomfortable (i.e. hot and steamy) wearing them, especially in heavy rain. This is much better and I can wear over jumpers, rucksacks, handbags without issue. The collar is also well designed and fits snuggly to keep you out of the rain and wind. It is also much lighter to wear than 'proper' waxed capes so will see how well it stands the time but at the price and comfort I'd be happy to replace it time and time again if needs be.

This cape is so stylish. It makes you feel good to wear it , which is what clothes should do! It will be a part of my wardrobe forever.

Nice coat but unfortunately the lining at the back of the neck is not sewn down and bunches up and even sticks outside the coat. Such a simple error but stops the coat getting 5*

So finally able to order one of these…I am size14, 5’5” tall and it is right length and the excellent well -cut drape of cape allows for several layers underneath if required. It drapes well too when just wearing a shirt and doesn’t swamp me . It is quality item , well thought out pockets and other details. Highly recommended. Badly let down by MS a using the dreaded Evri, many failed so called “attempts’ with the tracking displaying a photo of the local grave yard over a mile from my house. New package was sent.

I’ve bought this for walking in winter. I’m really pleased with how it looks, as previous reviews were not very positive. I’m petite and find it’s perfect for me. I’ll be able to layer up without looking like a “Michelin man”

I am wearing it now! This cape is perfect for wearing over autumn clothes, it’s not too heavy and is waterproof! It looks great and is well made. You do need to wear it over bags/backpacks because it is a cape rather than a coat.

I’m 5ft 5 and size 10/12 in tops, the fit of the cape for me is fine, it’s big but I wanted to be able to wear it over chunky tops as well . I really love the look of it on and it looks fine with trousers or skirts. Wore it today for first time, it was a heavy shower , by time I got to where I was going , my back and shoulders were soaked. I would say I bought it mainly to use in rain, it’s not suitable for that at all, possibly a short light shower maybe, disappointed as I believed it would have been more rain repellant

A very stylish and useful item BUT be aware that it is not a warm coat, so in colder weather you'll need something warm underneath as I've just discovered. I bought it because arthritis is making it difficult to put my arms into a regular coat, so from that point of view it's great.

Absolute staple while also being very chic. Love this cape.
