No, I don't recommend this
My cheese I have a the moment is crumbly so does not do slices as I thought it would probably with more hard cheese it will be fine, ok for cheese on toast. Sticky covering is definitely difficult to remove as stated in other reviews

We're really pleased with this item but, like another reviewer said, the sticky protective film used is so difficult to remove. The slices are quite thick but that's how we like them!

Pleased with the quality of the product. My only issue was the plastic coating on the tip and the blade. Why? It was really tricky to get the sticky glue substance off. I tried an ordinary scourer and washing up liquid, didn't move it at all. I tried a steel scourer but that started scratching the finish so I tried scrapping it off with my finger nails and then cut my thumb on the blade. If its there for 'safety' then it completely did the reverse, leave it off.

Slices cheese easily and with less/more pressure you can get thin/thick slices. I love it. Good quality and reasonable price, compared to one I saw in another shop for 15 pounds.

I bought this cheese slicer over a year ago as for some reason I had a plastic one which was utterly useless. This one is brilliant. I make toasties a lot and it's great for slicing my cheddar. It also goes in the dishwasher which is very useful.
