Shadow 5000 Trainers

I bought this shoe to replace another pair that was wearing out. I needed a good walking/ exercise class shoe. This shoe is a little stiffer than the all mesh versions and required a little breaking in, which is the reason I rated it a 4. Otherwise, it’s a comfortable, supportive shoe for those of us who don’t need a fancy running shoe. Saucony is my go to athletic shoe.

Sizing on these shoes are way off from other styles and are too small

I returned these shoes. The souls were hard, not comfortable. The lining & construction seemed cheap, not the usual quality of Saucony shoes.

Super comfortable shoes and great for everyday wear. Unfortunately, after about a month, the front of the sole started peeling back. Looks like the glue or adhesive isn’t strong enough. Had to use superglue to fix. Love the fit and feel, but disappointed with how quickly they started to come apart.

This is my second pair of Shadow 5000 and I absolutely love them. Was in On Clouds before and these are way more comfortable. Well made shoe as well!

I’m loving these new shoes! At first I didn’t understand unisex sizing so I ordered a size 8.5 in women’s ( I thought), but they were way too big. Then I found out that women’s sizes are 1.5 sizes larger than men’s. So with unisex sizing, you order the men’s size. For example, I wear a women’s 8.5 so I needed to order a men’s size 7. I returned the bigger size and received my men’s size 7 today. They’re very stylish looking (I got the black), a bit retro 80’s looking which is what I wanted. At first I thought these were only errand shoes & not for exercise/activity other than walking, but once I switched out the insoles for better arch support insoles, they were even better. I can definitely wear these to dance aerobics class. Word of advice: if you need arch support like I do, switch out the insoles as the factory ones have no arch support. That would be my only complaint if I had any. I would recommend these shoes, just get your sizing right.

The 5000’s are so comfortable. Between these, the Jazz and the DXN trainers….. Saucony is my fav shoe.

Love the look of this sneaker; the color ways really complimented my wardrobe. It lost a star because I wore them the whole day and they don't have a ton of cushion at the bottom, and my feet got a bit sore.
