I was looking for a curved navy lamp like this and was excited to find this. Happy to report that it’s just as I It’s sturdy and well made and I would say worth the money, even though it is a little on the pricey side.

But: it came with an enormously sized lampshade which was substituted with a smaller one, making the lamp more But it comes With a rather large lampshade, being replaced by a smaller on E. A choice of colour and size for the shade would be a good idea. And, you might like to ask somebody to give you a hand as the base is quite heavy. The product description is not clear and somewhat economical.

To Dim or not Dim, that is still my Question …

Before i go any further i would like to say this is a very beautiful lamp, but, i bought it on the understanding it was dimmable as stated on the website. As far as i can find, it is not. There is no mention in the instructions of how to dim it. I called the helpline and after an hour was no wiser. The lady i spoke to was unable to give me the name of the manufacturer and my only option was to return it and re-order. I do not know if the lamp is faulty. I may well receive a second lamp exactly the same. It maybe the specs on the website are wrong. Who knows. It remains a beautiful lamp but undimmable. I could buy a plug in dimmer switch but that is another £15-£20 on top.

Only disappointment with this lamp
Delighted with Nancy Floor Lamp but disappointed I had to buy another shade. As large navy shade that came with lamp did not suit lamp nor my lounge so extra expense

The lamp is very well made & looks the part. However, the colour of the shade is ambiguous. It is not stated in the website description, which is somewhat strange. It looks black when it is unlit & navy blue when lit. It would be better to state this rather than leave it to chance & risk the item not meeting the customer’s expectation.

Lovely lamp but lampshade colour not mentioned on the website. It looks black but when it came it was dark blue and that didn't go with my decor. I asked M&S if we could swap the shade for another colour but they said the whole lamp would have to be returned. As I really liked the lamp I then had to buy a shade in the colour that I wanted from M&S to match my table lamps which made it very expensive and I couldn't find one exactly the same size either. It would be nice to have a choice of lampshade colour.

It’s a lovely lamp but way too big for our needs so sadly had to return item we tried to view lamp in store before purchasing but it’s not on display anywhere seems M&S have greatly reduced there lighting displays in store
