The butter dish is fine for a standard 250g block but too small for a 500g block of butter. I think it would have been big enough if the ridges were closer to the edge. Haven't found any other dish that is bigger, though.

I wanted a butter dish as I have decided to use butter rather than a butter spread. This is a very nice butter dish. The lid sits well over the butter and it’s easy to clean with soapy water. Because it’s white it will fit nicely into any colour scheme

I love the minimalistic style of this piece. It is a good size, as I only tend to put half a pack of butter out at a time, for freshness. It is light and doesn’t take up much room on my work surface.

Sadly I think this is another case of style over substance. I bought this to replace a dish I had for many years that got broken. What I don’t like about the new one is that the bottom of the dish is just flat with a very small edging that denotes the butter holding part from the edging. The butter does not stay in the middle and spills out the the edging and gets very messy.

Very smart to look at so looks good on the table. A good weight and quality. The only very minor downside is that the central space is just a tad smaller than my pack of butter! However, it hasn't caused a problem and keeps the butter secure from sliding around
