I got this beautiful cake stand as my very old original cake stand squashed many round cakes unless a slice had been eaten … hence I made lots of loaf cakes ! So seeing this ribbed , sturdy beauty no hesitation ! It’s big beautiful and a real show piece … could easily hold a three layer cake stuffed full of fresh cream or jam and icing . A real winner . So pleased with it ..the only small criticism not from me but my husband is that the cakes are slightly hidden so you can’t see how delicious they look by the ribbed glass … for me I think it’s a bonus to stop him eating it too quickly .
