Even these smaller sets have great play value

It's a good time to be a LEGO fan. Nowadays we have cool sets like this with lots of interesting pieces with lots of potential for SNOT techniques and articulated parts. This Rocket Raccoon mech is a good buy, it'll give any young builder a few ideas for new build techniques using technic plates, bars with towballs, pins, swivels, etc. The mech has enough articulation to make it expressive. The revolving stud launcher is rad, that's my favorite new part, just as fun as LEGO pullback motors. LEGO has gotten expensive over the years, but luckily gems like these can still be found on discount, so we can enjoy some build time without breaking the piggy bank.

Good build, good set, educational

I like the build. the mech as good articulation. I dont like the rocket minifig, it doesn't look like rocket. Rocket has racoon proportions and minifig doesn't. But when you put the minifig into the mech, you can imagine the mech as the new body and the minifig head as the new head, and that makes it look better. I would recommend this set.

Good for posing, not so much playing

Originally posted on LEGO

This set is very good on many aspects, but one problem I have with it is that the bush piece used at the back is not very stable, and I'm sure Lego could have figured out a way to make it a little bit more stable. Apart from that it's a very good set, with a good minifigure.

Lacklustre compared to previous Marvel Mechs

Originally posted on LEGO

No, I don't recommend this

My son was super excited because he didn’t have a Rocket Minifigure but was underwhelmed by how basic the build was compared to the other Marvel (and Ninjago) mechs. The arm and leg pieces are very simple and they don’t bend at the elbows and knees like other sets

Addition to my sons collection

Originally posted on LEGO

Yes, I recommend this

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This took my son about an hour to fully complete. He is 9 years old and for some reason he found it challenging to do his arm which had his weapon. Other than that following the instructions for him and I was fairly easy. This gas many small parts to this structure so this is definitely not recommended for small children or infants.

VERY BAD DO NOT BUY

This Lego set had literally none of the right prices I it. There was an anime head which made no sence, and a bunch of random prices that didn't go with the set

Easy build, many small pieces so make sure you have a good working area. There are a few small pieces left over but that's normal they give you extras so don't be alarmed

Although Iit was a small build, the design was well thought out. It is an affordable alternative to buy, that has a decent amount of playability.

Disappointing but different

Originally posted on LEGO

I collect the Lego Marvel Mech kits and have always been impressed with their design and build quality. However, I have just purchased and built the Rocket Mech kit (76243) and I have been left disappointed. The arms and legs are no longer fully articulated and I can see this is also the case with the Hulk (76241) and Thanos (76242) from the 2023 models. It seems to be a bit of a lazy design choice (they are all fairly low part counts) and detracts from the collection. Finally back to Rocket, it looks un finished. The inside of the arms and legs have been left bare and skinny, perhaps some 2 x 2 Round bottom plates (2654) could have been used to give a better quality finish, as in the Iron Man Mech suit (76140). Just 8 of these in Orange would finish this kit off nicely.

This is a cool set. But I wish the arm and leg had the ball and socket joints like the previous mechs do. Could be a way Lego is cutting cost by cutting down on the pieces.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LEGO comes up with some great designs and this one is no different. My son loved building this and was thrilled that it was Rocket just like in the movie. His absolute favorite part is that it has a gun that actually shoots Lego pieces. We want a Groot!

not as good

bought this set for my nephew because he's a big mech fan and Marvel fan, after building the older mech designs this newer style was a big dissapointment the new pieses they use for the arms and legs are much worse then the ball joints the old mechs had and took away from a lot of the playability they are static and boring by comparison I was going to get him the Hulk mech but after the dissapointment of this one I won't be buying anymore of these mechs unless they go back to the old style arm and leg joints.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 4 almost 5 year old is really into lego sets right now. This was a fun project for him. He really likes robots also so he was excited about this one. It has lots of little parts but the directions are so easy to use and he can easily do it with a little parental supervision. Goes together easily with the detailed directions.

Fun Set, Fun Features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My five year old had a blast building this. He only needed a little bit of help from us. The Rocket mini figure is really fun and a great addition to our collection. The big suit is fun for my son to play with and take Rocket in and out. The BEST feature is the blaster - the little blue LEGO pieces actually shoot from the blaster. We were shocked how far they go. What a fun detail for a great value set.

Not a fan of the joints

Originally posted on LEGO

No, I don't recommend this

As an avid marvel mech enjoyer, i am severely disappointed by the ninjago elbow pieces replacing the ball joints. the body is fine but these new pieces limit the posability of the figures, which I believe was one of the best things about them, besides figures figures great in this wave though, just wish we had the ball joints
