Leather Derby Shoes - size
The shoes look fine, but although clearly marked as size 8 are nearer if not actually a size 9. I have had to buy insoles and heel cushions to make them wearable

The shoes are excellent and very comfortable, especially for my wide feet!! Like them lots. Is there anything wrong with them? Maybe just the newness but I do feel the heel could be slightly higher!! But only a minor observation

Value for money as school shoes
We were quite happy with this model last year, my son used it for school. Once they were outgrown - we’ve repurchased bigger size again. Sadly same model had one flaw – no soft ankle cushion on the back of the upper brim – that immediately gave blisters.

Bought these for my son (13) as school shoes. Third pair in 2 years, worn daily and take a hammering in all weathers. Wear well and while basic, they are cheap compared to other brands. Good value for money.
