Very Large Joint!

I cooked a day ahead to serve cold. Good quality meat, very tender and not at all chewy. Sliced thinly, there was an absolute mountain of beef, with lots left over at the end of the party - enough to feed the same number again the next day! It's never easy knowing how good a joint of beef is actually going to be, and if I could have pushed the boat out I would've gone for fillet, but this was a very good, cheaper alternative which I was more than happy with. As always, M&S proved comfortingly reliable. You can buy this with confidence.

I'm very fussy about meat and this was worth the money. Lean, succulent and tender as described and feed 9 people comfortably with seconds and some left over for sandwiches. No waste would highly recommend and would happily buy again.

Had a family gathering birthday etc So decided would order beef as there were 10 of us Large joints not always available in store. Beef was lovely tender as you would expect. But I did think the overall cost was expensive kg for kg

A delicious joint of beef. All meat and no fat, it didn’t shrink at all. Everyone was very impressed with the meat and kept talking about it after. Worth the money you won’t be disappointed. A note on timing though. I admittedly have a hot oven so may not be the same for everyone. After reading the comments decided to cook on 160 for 1hr 10 mins. Rested for about 45 mins. Joint carved beautifully. Edges weren’t pink but middle was. It was perfect for us. Even the brown meat was just like butter. Served 7 adults and 4 kids.

So tender quality is worth every penny and I did Sunday lunch for six with good portions on plate .Cold beef chips and salad for 5 good slices and then a curry for two well worth money .It's second one I have brought and will purchase more everyone said best beef they have had in long time

Pot Roast Beef 2k serves 10

This joint was ideal for our family Easter Meal. I decided to pot roast at Reg 3 for 3 hours, in a covered pot with shallots, carrots and celery, 250ml beef stock and 250ml red wine and bouquet garni. This also gave us plenty of vegetables and 'gravy'. I covered the meat with foil to prevent it hardening against the pot lid during cooking, this foil was put over the meat while resting. I used an electric carving knife, it cut like a dream, I was able to take beautifully sliced beef to the table on a serving dish, together with greens, roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings. The beef was definitely as described 'wonderfully tender and succulent then carefully hand prepared and tied for ease of carving.'

I bought this beef joint for a family get together it was perfect full of flavour tender just amazing. I am not a beef fan myself but will always buy it from M&S from now on. Next day we had beef sandwiches meat was just as good cold really impressed give it a go you won't regret it
