This medium-tension mattress will ensure you have a dreamy snooze. It's made with springs that are individually woven into their own pockets and work independently, thus reducing motion transfer to ensure you're not disturbed by your partner's movements. Edge-to-edge support means you can use the whole area of the mattress while you sleep. Meanwhile, the memory foam layer moulds to your body's contours, offering a supportive and comfortable slumber.
A soft pillow top layer featuring mini pocket springs provides a sink-in feeling, while a lambswool layer adds an extra touch of luxury. If you’ve ordered two or more pieces of furniture products, we will aim for one delivery to your address – this is to minimise inconvenience and disruption to you and to help the environment with our Plan A commitment. Your estimated delivery timescale will be shown on the checkout page, before you pay. Our delivery team will deliver furniture to a room of your choice (unless specified as “delivered to your door”), providing social distancing can be maintained. On arrival, the delivery crew will unpack, position and where applicable, assemble your furniture (exclude “delivery only”). This may be subject to change due to government and local lockdowns. Some items are delivered flat packed. These flat packed pieces will need to be assembled by you. You can check this before you order under the ‘Item details’.
We are unable to deliver furniture to the Orkney Islands, internationally, some postcodes (see link) or to our stores for collection. Please allow an additional week for deliveries to Ireland.

Lovely nights sleep
Having originally bought from M&S the extra firm mattress knowing that my previous mattress was very firm with a pillow sadly it was uncomfortable so I returned it. After looking at the reviews chose this one which I thought wouldn’t be firm enough as it said medium firmness. However, it turns out to be incredibly comfortable and perfect for me. It’s that nice I bought another for my daughter’s double bed. Highly recommend.

This mattress was of good quality and beautifully made with a rich cotton cover. Sadly I am very petite and found the pillowtop not supported enough. I had back pain after 2 nights and contacted M&S about it. The mattress was in pristine condition so they arranged a collection and sorted out a refund. The delivery and collection drivers were brilliant. They double-wrapped the mattress to ensure it stayed in pristine condition and the refund was made in 5 days after return. Excellent service and gives me confidence to buy again. This is why I use a reputable company for large purchases.

Initially happy but hasn’t worn well

I bought this mattress a year ago after trying it out in store whilst ordering furniture for out lounge. Mattress felt wonderful especially as our old mattress needed replacing. Initially we found the mattress really comfortable, and I even recommended it to a work colleague. Unfortunately, after a years use, signs are that it’s life expectancy will be shorter than our previous mattress. The lambs wool topper (one of the things that drew me to purchase this mattress) has started to breakdown and we are able to feel the small springs that are in the topper. Also, the sides of the mattress are started to stick out. M&S were very helpful and sent out an independent assessor who advised us that it isn’t classed as a fault just wear and tear. Whilst I understand this, I do think that a year is not enough to justify deterioration of our mattress. If you are considering buying this mattress I would advise that you only purchase for a room where it is used occasionally. It does deliver a comfortable nights sleep when new but after a years use we are not impressed.

Backpain/ harder than expected

I bought this lambswool 1700 pocket spring mattress in king size medium firmness back in February 2022, the order was wrong and I received a double bed size essential open coil mattress (basically a completely different mattress). I managed to exchange for the correct order which comes in another 1.5 month later. Now I have had this mattress for 2 months, we followed care instruction to rotate every week and the mattress is still very stiff/firm. It isn't as comfortable or as soft as the store display mattress which we tried over and over again before purchase. I am using it on a sprung slat bed, which should give me a cushion effect but instead I suffer from occasional backpain in the morning. Hence, I am giving this a two star at the moment, I hope my mattress does eventually soften in time and gives me the expected medium firmness from the display mattress in store.

I bought this mattress in 2017. I have turned it regularly per instructions but now it is making my hips and back ache terribly...to the point where i have been to see Osteopath. Yes it is 4 yrs old but id expect a mattress of this cost to last longer than that! Also comes with a 10 yr guarantee but apparently it is normal wear and tear so not worth the warranty at all

I did some serious research into mattresses only to become completely and utterly confused by all the terms and specs from different manufacturers. In the end my wife saids let's look at M&S mattresses in the shop and take it from there. A very helpful member of staff spent a good 20 minutes of her time telling us all she knew and we bought it there and then. What a hefty mattress but boy was it worth it. We have slept on it for months now and it is so comfortable with the pillow top and so supportive at the same time. I weigh in at a hefty 16 stone but my wife is only 12 stone, but it suits both our weights perfectly. Getting it up the stairs was interesting as it is Super Kingsize, but no regrets, so much better than our previous collapsing memory foam mattress, never again. I understand these are made in Devon and there's even some recycled M&S clothing in the bases. Can't recommend this product enough, two years of bad nights sleep have come to a complete end. Thank you M&S

Bought as a like for like replacement of old M&S pillow top mattress. All other mattresses in household are M&S too and very pleased with them. Please AVOID purchasing this mattress, it is like lying in a drain pipe, is lumpy and is certainly not like for like!! The biggest waste of money ever, exceptionally disappointed. If this is the new standard of mattress then I will avoid buying any M&S mattresses in the future.
