Winter warmth

This is my second pair of Regatta fleece lined trousers, both of which have had to be shortened because they're made in different leg lengths to the normal uk sizing, ie. 34/32 instead of 34/31, and that one inch does make a difference to the fit. These new ones are at a much reduced price and are obviously made by a different manufacturer but hopefully will wear just as well. The design is just fhe same, outer material is different, my existing pair being of a softer, warmer feel with bonded fleece lining, while the newer ones appear to be a more waterproof material and have a loose fleece lining. The originals have seen an enormous amount of wear and are now relegated to work trousers and I'm looking forward to wearing the new ones once the appropriate weather comes along. Although slightly different in materials, these are well worth the money, are comfortable and warm, and bound to give years of wear. NB. I rated these 4 star but the system changes it to 5.

My old regatta trousers are thicker and still completely water repellent, you can feel the difference with this pair, very slight ingress of water.

Excellent walking trousers

Bought these walking trousers as a second pair as had already bought them in blue. They are smart, very warm with a expensive feel unlike some walking trousers which can be thin. Tested during a long walk on the welsh coast for over 2 hours during xmas and were perfectly warm, windproof and non sweaty. Pockets are great and sizing is about right.

Good

Warm comfortable all round exactly what I wanted. They do seem to be water resistant, at least they have never let water in when I have been on short walks in the rain, although to be honest I struggle to believe they would be waterproof. Also the elastic panels in the waistband are helpful, occasionally thanks to this feature they can be worn without a belt. The zips on the pockets do not catch or get in the way and make the fit under a coat somehow better. I like them so much I will be buying a second pair which I think is the biggest compliment you can give any product.

Certainly warm, they are snug around the calves for me, but manageable.

Nice and warm, I have to put my socks on after my trousers otherwise I push the lining down the legs. The angled waist fastening takes a bit of getting use to.
