So, for me this looks unisex. I don't know what my son (10 years old) does, but usually his normal sneakers are broken, damaged by the first month. This year he had a science vamp and they required hiking shoes, I got this for him and are amazing, comfortable, durable, the lace doesn't untie. Highly recommended.

Comfy trainers with no rubbing so far, even with bare feet. Quite large around the ankle though. Its a bit strange. Bonus that they're waterproof.
