This is a lovely school dress. The fabric is nice and soft and the stripes are a little different from the usual check pattern. The little details, such as the piquet edging adds pretty touch.

Soft material, great fit very pretty detailing - it's better than the horrid polyester one sold by the school uniform shop and better value! I hope they keep doing this for years to come because the stripe version is very difficult to find. Superb job M&S!

The dress is super long also the quality of the fabric is not good, after 1st wash it came out completely wrinkled. I want to return it as the school uniform should not be wrinkled soo much and it took ages to iron it. I had other brands 100% cotton dress but the quality of m&s is so bad.

Here is the corrected version: This is the second time I’m buying these dresses as I believe they are good value for money and excellent quality. The colour washes out over time, but it does not affect their wearability, so it's 5 out of 5 for me.

Pretty design of the dress, but the material is not the usual M&S easy to iron style. The other M&S school dresses my daughter usually wears don’t need ironing at all, but this one gets all the crinkles and wrinkles you can’t wear it without ironing. Beware of this before you buy it.

Pretty dress with lovely details like flower buttons and lace trims. However it is a nightmare to iron so always looks creased. Would be perfect if it had a non-iron mix like many other school uniform items. Especially as there are so few striped school dresses available, they are all gingham.
