Nice heavy glass, so it's going take something substantial to move it (pets). Using the light bulb (small screw) recommended in the instructions (I was miffed it wasn't in the order blurb) the light is enough to see about the room but not glaring. I got a pearl bulb.

The only reason for not giving 5 star is that the type of gold is more of a sunny yellow colour, whereas I was expecting a gold colour but nothing a little paint spray can’t fix!

The globe shape of this lamp is ideal for me as I didn’t want the regular height of table lamp which my cat can easily knock over. Also the weight allowed this lamp sits sturdy on surface. Beautiful design. But I prefer the electric wire can be 20cm longer as I now use an extension.

Sassafras 28-12-2022 03:18 Stunning! This is simply the most beautiful table lamp I've ever had. I ordered two to go with the matching ceiling light, and they are all fabulous. It is different and looks very expensive, and the glass is a good weight so it looks very good quality. It gives a lovely light as well. I am absolutely delighted with it. It was easy to assemble and takes readily-available bulbs and comes with a nice long cable and plug. Very well done, M&S, more like this please!

raqcosby 17-11-2022 11:50 Unusual, stunning lamp! Thrilled with purchase! Even more stunning than expected. I chose this lamp because of its shape, i.e. not tall and lanky. My reason? Two different puppies managed to nudge the table and break my two previous lamps which, being slender, toppled to the floor. This gorgeous new lamp is unlikely to meet with the same shattering experience as it's more or less "topple-proof". The lamp gives really good illumination to the room whereby we do not need the overhead lights, and it is truly stunning to look at.
