Sizing issue
Originally posted on New Balance US
Purchased this shoe for commuting (walking/biking) in the rainy PNW. I wear NB shoes for running and they fit me well. The suggestion on this shoe is to order a half size up as they run small for many people. I usually order a half size up for my running shoes so did that for this shoe as well but this one is too big. I wore them once and hope I can exchange them.

Got for both trail runs and running in wet conditions on paved roads. As expected, Goretex is a bit more stiff so these aren’t my everyday running shoes but I love having them for those rainy day or snowy runs :)

These shoes are awesome after figuring out the proper fit, I went up a whole size. They're comfortable and warm. Unfortunately it hasn't snowed yet. Only 4nstars because I haven't been able to test if they're actually waterproof.

I wanted to love them
Originally posted on New Balance US
Overall the fit is good. However, the stiff upper edge chafed a patch of skin raw on the top of the foot within minutes and I am unable to wear them. Not great cushioning compared to the 880 model.

Sizing is Completely Wrong
Originally posted on New Balance US
Really wanted this shoe, but the sizing was awful. I ordered the same size I always wear in NB and these were way too tight in the toe box and the length was extremely short. Very disappointed.

We’re sorry to hear the sizing was so different from what you expected, especially since you ordered your usual NB size. Love that these runners are waterproof. I do like the darker color that is not completely black. I ordered the wide which if a nicer fit for me when i wear thick socks and will also feel less constraining at the end of a long day.

New Balance has great sneakers. I like the Gortex to keep your feet dry, but unfortunately the sneakers lack cushioning. You feel the hard sole as you walk.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear you appreciate the Gore-Tex feature, but we’re sorry the sneakers did not provide the cushioning you expected and felt too firm. Your comments are important and will be shared with our team to help improve comfort without compromising performance.
Run small, gtx not worth

They are more snug lengthwise and slightly narrower than other New Balances and the goretex dodnt help at all at a simple dry 50 degree morning for a pe teacher lol bottom line - not worth it

The one thing you're never supposed to do is wear new shoes for an extended walk, but I wore these for a ten mile walk today, and they felt great. I admit I bought them mostly because I loved the color. I do wish the inserts had an actual arch. As it is I use purchased insoles.

This is my second pair. These ones seem to run small but they are wonderful XC shoes-i run with my son's time and are great for puddles and rain(yay PNW!)

A tiny bit tight, but it does have the right amount of cushioning and support that I need. I also bought a non-Goretex pair for cross training and those are working out really nicely. Not as tight as the Goretex.

These shoes are a dream shoe for me. We have greenways and trails in our area that we love to enjoy with our dog, but I want to keep my cute shoes cute (which is as easy as not dropping food down the front of my shirt at dinner). These are ones that I don't worry about if I am going to be in a place that happens to have water or mud. Plus they keep my feet dry?! Yes, please!

NOT waterproof shoes

I needed to replace an old pair of waterproof shoes that had worn through and liked the look of the new balance dynasoft. Unfortunately these are NOT waterproof and even when moving through damp grass on a dry day moisture seeped through. I don’t even believe they are water resistant. Very disappointed but keeping as they are comfortable and look nice.

Not wide. Toe box is very small, the top was rubbing the top of my toes.

I really like this shoe. Materials, construction, functionality of the Gore Tex, and slope were all on point. Unfortunately the height of the toe space wasn't quite roomy enough as the gore tex does not stretch.
