I tried the size 10 and 12 long length. Both fit but I felt more comfortable sitting in the 12 and thought they would be good in the heat. Washed as the instructions and they are now smaller than the 10. They do crinkle on washing which makes them appear much smaller but when wearing them they are fitted on the bum and thigh now. Not what I was aiming for. Second pair of loose black trousers I have bought this summer and both have changed size massively after washing, the other grew in width and length. It's so frustrating and I feel upset to be wasting money. The quality of clothing has really deteriorated.

Very comfortable but feel the extremely narrow elasticated waist band lets them down, it’s just basically thin elastic threaded through. Not the finish we expect from M&S

I bought a size smaller due to being elasticated waist which fitted fine. I had extra short length which was much longer than they should be. I am 5ft 1inch and they hung on the floor!! Overall very nice comfortable trouser.

Really lovely trousers, I bought the green which is gorgeous. Did come up on the large side. Normally size 8 regular had to go down to a size 6 short. I am 5ft 4. Very flattering. Dress smart or casual. Well worth the money.

Lovely wide trousers in a cool fabric. I love the olive colour, and the pockets! I have dressed them up and down. I am 5’5” and wear size12 trousers and the short size 12 fit me perfectly.
