I normally never wear red, but this was in the sale and i have several black column dresses from m&s already. Quite a few reviewers said it was a lovely colour and it really is - a sort of dark pinky rust. My only criticism is the weird and unnecessary seams that cross the front and back. They might be to give it the bit of flare it has, but spoil the drape somewhat. A bargain dress on the whole, tho.

Column dresses usually suit me but this ribbed dress showed all my lumps and bumps. Ribbed tops are perfect for me so was disappointed with the dress, I ordered my usual size but didn’t want to go up a size. Returned.

Usually a size 14/16 (14 top and 16 bottom!) long, ordered in a 16 and very true to size. I'm 5ft 5 and glad I went for the long as it's about 6 inches above my ankle, regular would've been shorter than I like. Nice fabric and a classic style which won't date.
