Cotton Mix Metallic Star Bedding Set

Poor quality, very tough and starchy, more like tent fabric than bedding. Washed and tumble dried but fabric did not soften. Stars are not metallic, slightly faint silver but not sparkly. Unfortunately I discarded the packaging so cannot return, so it will end up in the bin. Total waste of money and disappointed with Marks. Will buy all bedding and towels from John Lewis in future as I have never had any issues with their quality. Given the amount of bad comments I would expect M&S to withdraw this product.

I am very unhappy with this product. The material is so stiff it is difficult to fold and is like sleeping under a tarpaulin. I've washed it 3 times to try and soften it, tried 2 different detergents, fabric conditioner and tumble dried it twice and is still too stiff to be comfortable as bed linen. I would have returned it for a refund but don't have the original packaging.

I bought the bed set about 2 weeks ago, it was very hard material, have washed it 3 times incl. softener. The material is still hard/ Unbelievably poor quality!! I returned the bedset today/

I bought this duvet set for the colour and must admit to being worried by the low price but i thought I would take a chance. I was right to worry, the material is thick and as stiff as old fashioned starched collars I am old enough to remember them. Tried sleeping with it once and that was enough, so it's been washed and dried and put away until I dispose of it. Not worth spending more on sending it back and self isolation and lack of packaging means personally taking back not possible.

If you want a Christmassy duvet set this is great but as per other reviews it isn’t at all soft. However the price is good.

I bought this a week ago, I put it straight on my bed, it looks beautiful and wintery.

I bought this last month and when I opened couldn't believe how stiff the fabric was. I thought that after a couple of washes and plenty of fabric conditioner it would soften up it stills feels like cardboard. Unfortunately I recycled the packaging so I am unable to return. I am also disappointed in the sizing, I bought a super kingsize cover for my super kingsize duvet and the cover is too big. Disappointed!

I bought this duvet set for the festive season, and it looks fantastic on the bed. It's quite stiff to touch, but am hoping it will soften after its first wash. The design is beautiful.

I bought this set online. I found the fabric "hard". I washed the set thinking it would soften up. It didn't. The fabric is 50/50 cotton/polyester so I though it would be softer. Lovely design, shame about the fabric. I use it on the bed with a flat Egyptian cotton sheet underneath. Hopefully it will soften up after a few washes.

Really disappointed with this. Even after a good wash, the material is really stiff and rough. Probably not even going to put it on the bed because I know it will be so uncomfortable to sleep on. Straight in the charity bag...

This is such good quality & a good blue colour too. This colour holds when washed.

bought to use at Christmas as i will be at home this year very pleased with the design. The fabric seems nice so I hope it washes well

Bought this as my new Christmas bedding set. Wish I’d taken notice of the reviews. Regrettably I have returned it as even after washing to try to soften, it was still very very stiff. Such a shame.
