About this bottle: A classic unoaked Pinot Grigio from the rolling hills of the Venezie region in the far north-east of Italy. Here as the summers are relatively cool, the grapes ripen slowly, tempered by the warm Adriatic breezes, developing crisp fruit and herbal flavours. Made by 3rd generation, brother and sister team Arrigo Bidoli and Margherita in their beautiful repurposed brick factory. Best enjoyed chilled within 2 years of purchase.

About this bottle: This classic unoaked white Soave is made from Garganega grapes grown in the rolling hills of the Soave Classico, just east of Verona, by Gaetano Tobin. Here the limestone rich soils in the west produce wines with pure fruit characters while the volcanic soils in the east impart more mineral qualities. About this bottle: Cantina Valpantena, founded in 1958, is judged to be one of the best cooperatives in Italy. Based in the valley of the same name near Verona, it makes this classic, bespoke Valpolicella Ripasso for M&S. Using mainly local varieties, Corvina, Rondinella and Corvinone the wine is made in part with the dried grape skins used to make Amarone. This “repassing” gives it extra layers of depth and flavour.
