Checked Belted Coat

I love this coat. I am a 10 but ordered the 8 because of reviews It is supposed to look a bit oversized, but a size down is perfect for me. I think the coat looks a lot more expensive than it is and the colours are lovely. Had lots of compliments the first day I wore it - I think this cost is a winner!

Don’t fall for this jacket just because Holly W wore it! Looks like a huge dressing gown... perhaps not for the more curvy woman!

Colours look different than on line very big and I had gone down a size. Didnt like press studs. Sleeves too long and Iam 5ft 6

Ordered a size 14 had to change for a size 12 as it was too large. My style is country casual this coat fits the bill, it is trendy and can be dressed up or down, will look fabulous with boots and jeans, - Per Una of course ! I think the coat is good value for the money.

Such a shame about the popper fastenings. The fabric is loose weave and the poppers are really not that easy to undo and constant undoing could eventually pull the fabric and make holes. Buttons on this occasion would have suited the coat much better. I thought it was a little stiff and could look like a winter dressing gown if not careful. Disappointed.

I haven’t owned a proper coat for a while now, long coats are either too long or cut off at an awkward length, but I ordered this on a whim while ordering necessities and haven’t looked back. I’m quite large but this coat is very flattering, finishing mid calf, with plenty of shoulder room and perfect sleeve length, which some coats for larger women are lacking in. Great value too and warm too!

Maybe I’d like it if it fitted correctly but I already tend to buy a size smaller in M&S (as sizes come up big) and this was at least 2 sizes too large. I was hoping for a more fitted, tailored look as this is a belted coat. Instead it is definitely oversized. Is it a labelling error or by design? I took it back but my store didn’t have any to check with. Certainly very on trend and could be classic if it fits someone properly!

Whilst the coat looked great, it was far too big and had to wrap it around with the belt for it to fit.. doing up the two buttons just left it very baggy and unflattering. Just decided it wasnt for me.

I had been waiting for this coat to arrive after seeing it in the press and loving the look of it. Unfortunately it was a huge let down. Firstly, it's described as 'pink mix' but when arrived there's no pink in it!! It's red, burgundy and black check. My second gripe is it's described as having 'button safe technology' but there's no buttons on it!! Two press studs hold it together which were so stiff I had to fetch a teaspoon to help me get them open! Also the material is quite thin. I'm very disappointed, on paper it sounded perfect but hasn't lived up to expectations so I will be returning it.
