Checked Kilt Mini Skirt

This skirt takes me back to my younger days. The quality is excellent. It is very well made. A good weight. I teamed it with a black T-shirt and a pair of your ankle boots. The choice of skirts is very good this season.

I initially purchased the long length skirt as I am quite tall, this was great quality and a good length with me being 5ft 8. I wear this skirt for work due to suitable length. On the back of loving the long skirt, I purchased the mini. Conscious of my height I bought a size up so that it could fit on my hips and thus not be too long nor too short. Love both lengths, very comfortable and everyone loves it! :)

I loved this skirt but had to return due to not being able to zip to the top due to wasit band being to thick. And the zip for arthritic hands being to small to hold.

I've been waiting for M & S to bring out a tartan skirt! Well worth the wait, lovely colours and quality! Just wish it was lined though!

The only reason this doesn't have 5 stars is that it isn't lined. Would gladly have paid £45 for a lined version. Having said that it is a heavy weight which helps with drape. Lovely colour, good fit.Got away with a 12 when sometimes I have to buy a 14. Will look great with thicker tights and boots. Have also bought a green/pink version, slighter lighter weight but still pretty.(M&S- Lining the skirts would make them last longer so better for the environment long term!)

I read the previous reviews. but still wanted the skirt, was really looking forward to getting it, lovely colour, lovely style not too short, not too long, heavy material just like a kilt would feel like. I'm short 5' so the length 18 inches was good, looked lovely with flat shoes or with boots. Problem for me was the waistband I didn't properly look at it so when I got it on it was very snug, I have hips and the skirt flowed over the bumps called my hips and that was when the skirt didn't look right on me! Sadly it was returned.

At last lovely style skirts with good quality material and brilliant style, well done

I'm too old and no longer have the legs for mini skirts but this long length fits just above the knee and with 60 denier tights looks very smart. I haven't given a 5 star rating as I have not worn it yet for any lenght of time and can't comment on how it will wash Only purchased online as local M&S didn't not have my size

Love this kilt I wish I could have kept it. Why don't you make 24 ins length anymore . Teenagers who ware mini skirts don't shop in marks and spencer. I am 5ft and a 24 or 25 ins skirt is perfect for me.

I love this skirt. I did order a size 12 with reference to the sizing chart and my waist measurement, but it was too big. I then got a size 8 which is perfect.

Ihave been looking for a good quality ‘kilt’ for along time. This one is perfect. Sent for the short one first,18”. Had to change it for the 21”. I am 5’ 8” tall and it comes approx, 2” above my knees. Good quality, very reasonably priced. Please have more of these in different colours.( although I do love the red ) Winter clothes need to be colourful to cheer us up!! Can be worn at any occasion,; work casual or smart.

Great wee kilt and very on trend for this season. The material has a good weight for it, and as it's stitched down at the front there's no chance of flashing too much. The only thing to be aware of is that it's very short. I'm 5ft3in and lets just say I can't bend down without showing my knickers. However, it is winter so a pair of thick tights will remedy that issue. If in doubt, buy it before it sells out, you won't regret it. I'm just waiting for stock of the trousers now! Well done M&S
