Checked Double Faced Coat

I bought this for my daughter, who is 5’9” and a size 12. The coat looks fabulous on and hangs really well. Fabric is soft and cosy, however it’s not lined and has only 2 buttons. It’s designed to fit loosely, so if you want to layer it over chunky jumpers, you’ll need to go up a size. I did expect a lining, and coats at this price from other fashion brands do, but as it was purchased half price in the sale, I felt it was ok.

I bought this coat today in store - and am delighted. It's beautifully sewn - the plaid matches up perfectly - the fit and line are gorgeous, as is the fabric. It is slim cut and refined fabric, so may not do well with a bulky jumper under it - but what it lacks in being oversized or super warm, is very much made up with its elegance. This is the first M&S coat I've bought, as encouraged by the high rating for M&S on the Good on You app. It's the perfect coat for autumn and absolutely gorgeous.

If the cloth of this coat had been 50/50 it could have been lovely. Looks brown online, not grey. M&S could make a come back, only if cloths are of decent quality, which now they are not. The delivery of this coat was shocking, completely stuffed in the bag, looked like a rag!!
