Great shoes and weather resistant!
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great for running, working out and hiking. Also kept my feet dry in a light rain. I’ll continue to buy these.

Best trail shoe yet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everything I was looking for in a new trail shoe. Not too firm, not too soft.

Not a good trail shoe.
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
I have been running in Cascadia shoes for several years - this is the worst. For a trail shoe, there is no stability, the heel of my feet rock up and down and the material feels cheap. Please go back to the Cascadia of the recent past. I am trying a different shoe - not Brooks. Please take these off the market before someone gets injured!

Yes - These are it for me
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been looking for the right trail shoes and these are it for me! I was previously wearing an Altra trail shoe and we just weren't meant for each other. What I love most about these Cascadia's is how they hug my feet. I have pretty skinny feel/ankles and I love that it fits snug on my foot as the biggest issue I was having with the Altra is too much space in the shoe creating a lot of blisters, even with a heel lock. I do love me some Brooks shoes.

Major Update to this shoe!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Major improvement to an already solid performer! The nitrogen infused arch feels great! More cushion and the lugs have improved giving more traction!

No Velcro for running gaiters. What?!
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So bummed about this iteration of these shoes. Brooks took away the Velcro on the back to secure gaiters. I would love to hear the reason for this perplexing change. I google searched for running gaiters that have a hook at the back, but so far haven’t found anything. WHY would to make a change like this that makes your shoes incomparable with the standard gaiters attachment and sends your customers on a crazy goose chase for compatible gear? The soles are more comfortable than previous models of this shoe, but the functional negative outshines the comfort positives on this version of the cascadia in my book. Recommendation against buying if you ever run with gaiters.

Quality Trail Running Shoe No Longer Works for My Foot
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
For many of its iterations, the Cascadia trail runner was a perfect fit for me in a 14 2E Wide. It was the old reliable I could always count on. The quality of the shoe lives on, but the toe bed has been severely narrowed to the point my large toe will cramp after only a few minutes of wear around the house. Tried this several times -- different times of day, various sock cushions, etc. I am so disappointed, because they have always been a reliable fit and functioned very well for mixed terrain multi season trail/gravel road running. I will probably give the 20 a try to see if Brooks rehabs the fit to its original specs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are my go to trail running shoes. The only issue I have is that I’ve now had to epoxy my own piece of Velcro on the heel because somehow brooks decided to remove the Velcro that is used to attach the gators. That being said I would still keep getting them. Just think it’s funny to do away with the Velcro seems like regression not progress

Heal material ???
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wore the previous model of these on a one month trip to Switzerland. The heal upper collar wore right through. If the materials were up graded I'd consider them again but I'm hesitant.

Less hardy?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seems like the materials are a bit cheaper than on the 18. More time on the trail will tell more.

So close!
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really cool shoe! I have been in the hunt for a good trail shoe as I am a newer runner. Everything about this how is great. But for me, I need a touch more cushion. I have been running in the Glycerin, and I wish this had the cushion They are really close! I will try the Caldera next. Either way, Brooks have been the best of all brands I’ve tried. Now I am just being nit picky!

Awesome trail shoe for dirt and mud.

No gaiter attachment

They dropped the gaiter attachment. That's the only reason I used to buy them.

Great looking shoe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy with the purchase. I was afraid the shoes would squeak or feel like cleats for my casual use but they're not.

NOT GOOD FOR SAND DUNES

Wet Sasquatch feet
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Searched high and low for a size 14 EE or EEEE, that was waterproof for my walk to work. Thought this was it, boy was I wrong. The bottom and side do a decent job keeping my feet dry, but the top is not at all resistant to water, rain soaked my socks before I got 1/4 mile here on the Oregon coast. They’ll be good for trails under canopy, just not for hiking in tall grasses or areas exposed to rain. Does brooks make a waterproof for us with bigger feet or just stick to the majority of the population?
