Care- Your Camellia should never be allowed to dry out it, but equally do not allow it to become waterlogged and reduce watering in cold weather. Feed with a plant food designed specifically for acid-loving plants, following the manufacturer’s instructions. Your Camellia will flower for several weeks, usually in spring (or sometimes starting in winter when conditions are very mild) and, with reasonable care, will flower again for many years to come. The plant itself is hardy, but frost- in particular when early sun shines on still-frosted buds- may damage the blooms, hence the preference for a sheltered position. The plant does not require regular pruning, but if desired it can be trimmed to keep in shape after flowering.
