Cake Stand with Dome

I'm always making cakes for family and friends and this stand is just perfect to keep little hands away as well as displaying your creation. Looks gorgeous and will take a 20cm/8in cake easily. Delighted with my purchase .

Very nice cake stand. Really large just what I needed.

I initially ordered this item online, but when it arrived, I saw the glass was scratched, so I had to return it. I ended up buying one in store that I could personally inspect. There are a couple of small bubbles in the glass, but that's to be expected, as the glass is handmade. I'm looking forward to giving it to my sister as a housewarming present, as I think it's nice to give people luxury items they wouldn't necessarily buy for themselves. It does look lovely, and I think it will look beautiful in their new kitchen.

I love the size and style of this item but as a cake stand it is pretty useless. There is such a hump in the centre of the plate that no cake can really sit on it without wobbling around! This was a present which unfortunately I did not use straight away and by the time I got round to using it it was too late to return. I sent it to the charity shop. Sorry M&S but not up to your usual standard.

I ordered this item online and when I unpacked it I was surprised at the unevenness of the dome. The central handle was not in the middle and the dome much higher on one side. I know this item is handmade but it really was uneven. It also had a lots of bubbles in the glass. I returned it to the store and looked at 2 others which were more or less the same - squiffy. One had bubbles in the class and one didn't. I got my money back with no problem.

This hand made cake dome is very simple and looks beautiful. It is also very practical although it shows off the contents to such perfection that it is soon eaten up!

I wish I'd read reviews before buying but as it was M&S I expected excellence and thought my Christmas cake would look gorgeous on the table. When it arrived the base was smashed but customer services arranged for a replacement to be sent out, refunded my p&p and gave me a discount-I was quite happy with that and they were excellent. The original dome looked like a second - there were lots of bubbles in the glass and the knob on top was not fully attached. The new base however is not flat. With a large bulge in the centre of the plate my cake just wobbles and looks awful. I had to use kitchen towel to balance it (there's a gap of 1cm around the cake). If it wasn't for the fact that I had no choice but to use it as it was (no time to find a new one before Xmas) and that I'd lost all excitement in it I would ask for a refund. Why would anyone want a cake plate that you can't put a cake on for display?! It defeats the purpose of the item and so I'm very disappointed.

Love it. Looks so cute on my kitchen bench. Only problem is...my toddler keeps on asking for cake all the time! Good quality and would definitely recommend.

Purchased this cake stand for a gift. My friend was really pleased with it. Muffins and donuts look really tempting especially when they are placed on the stand. May not good when trying to be good.

Disappointed with the quality of the glass dome as it had a flaw in the glass.the stand was ok .bought the item when home wear was on offer otherwise item over priced.

Cake stand is a great item to have to protect those wonderful cakes you have made ( or bought from M & S ) !! However, when all the cake has gone, which is usually very quickly, pop some nicely wrapped chocolates in it or anything else that's worth putting on display and fits under the dome.

Bought as a leaving present for a cake lover. Really pleased. Simple but stylish. May have to get one for myself!!!

We purchased 3 of these cake domes, they are good quality, stylish and look even better with our cakes in them.
