A full length packamac!

Been looking for a full length packamac for a while and spotted this in the sale. Sized down after reading reviews and it is still roomy enough to wear over thicker layers for the autumn. It folds small enough to pack into one of the pockets so it’s a handy size to carry in a bag. It’s not lined so I wouldn’t have payed full price for it but in the sale it was reasonable. Already worn in recent showers and with a tie hood it keeps the wind and rain out. The green colour is nice too.

Lovely, lightweight, packable coat. It is single layer/unlined which is exactly what I wanted. Longer than most packable jackets, again what I wanted and will deal well with showers when out walking--not tested in wet yet as we've had no rain. Sizing is accurate, could go on over base layer etc easily and comfortably. Loved the design.

This is quite big and I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't lined (apart from the hood). I kept it as I liked the colour and I needed a lightweight packable waterproof for the summer.

I'm 5'10 and the 14 is a good length on arms and body. The quality is good - thick, breathable fabric. It packs into its own pocket - think that might make it wrinkle a lot so I'd probably prefer a 'bag' to roll it into, but overall I'm pleased with the jacket as I was looking for something long (most pac-a-macs are short)

Not for me
Very big, odd shape and long arms! Pattern looks fuzzy like the black has run into the cream and so appears dirty. Material would probably be waterproof but makes odd crinkly sound. It balloons out from the body, ordered 18 & 20 as I wanted room to wear a jumper underneath. Only tried on the 18 which drowned me. Not for me I’m afraid so returned.
