Botanical Repair™ Strengthening Shampoo 200ml

Used trial sized shampoo & conditioner. Noticed my scalp was itchy afterwards. Such a shame as hair felt great initially after washing. Won't be buying full sizes.

I used to use and love botanical repair shampoo and conditioner, however, after coming back to it after a break it seems to have changed and not in a good way! Now when I use this my hair feels awful! It feels dry, brittle and like chewing gum, I also notice more hair loss but that may be unrelated. Overall I will no longer be using or recommending botanical repair, which is a real shame.

I used this in combination with the conditioner. I used it a few times but it made my hair increasingly dry, brittle and straw-like and after several uses my scalp was severely irritated and very itchy. I had to discontinue use and my hair texture has not yet recovered, so far from repairing it has caused more damage. I will not be using Aveda hair care again.

I have used this particular shampoo for years and it was my holy grail. I can no longer use it as it causes my scalp to itch like crazy and I always seem to shed more when I use this. It seems to be reformulated or some ingredients may have changed but I will use something else now.

This product has caused terrible shedding for my hair. At first I thought it's just because hair needs time to get used to a new product. But it got worse and worse and now for certain I can say that my hair is awfully shedding because of this product. My scalp feels dry and it's a bit flaky after using this product. My hair has gotten horribly dry and sheds so bad that I'm looking for clinical treatments! awful just awful!

Hair feels clean but not stripped would recommend along with the conditioner

Really good quality shampoo with a nice smell. It lasts a long time as only a small amount is needed.

The holy grail of shampoos! Seriously! If you’ve given up on ever having one length hair again, then you need to try this! Believe me I’d tried everything and nothing works as well as this stuff! Extremely pricey but worth it just to have normal hair again !!!

After the first use of this shampoo my scalp and face were very itchy. I tried once more with hope that it wasn’t reaction to the shampoo. Unfortunately I realised that I can’t use it. It causes allergic reactions on my skin. I’m not going to buy it again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this Shampoo worked very well with my fine hair. It lathered well, rinsed easily and gave me very good results.

I bought the Botanical Repair shampoo after trying the Botanical repair mask - which is wonderful. However, the shampoo couldn't be more different. It leaves my fine hair bone dry, like sandpaper. Have been using Aveda products for the last 20 years and so disappointed in this shampoo. Will not by again.

I'd already tried this make of hair serum which is brilliant, so was happy to try the shampoo. It very much does what it says - my hair is so fragile and subject to breakage but it is making a difference even after a few weeks. A little goes a long way and it cleanses my hair and scalp without leaving it over-dry and itchy. A very good product which I shall continue to use.

Recommend to trial this first, to me it smells like old, wet socks - not the spa experience I have come to expect from Aveda. I love natural scents, including the Sap Moss, so not sure what went wrong here. The product itself it up to par, but no better than any other Aveda offering and so not justifying a higher price point. A case of marketing over substance unfortunately. A miss for me.
