Belted Double Breasted Relaxed Trench Coat

I have never been more compelled to share my thoughts about this trench. I've admired it for months and have looked longingly at it every time I browsed the website. I manifested this trench so decided to follow fate and buy it in the sale. I even drove 2 miles to collect it from the shop as I was so excited. How disappointed am I.. The fabric is awful - feels quite cheap and thin. The strong buttons feel as if they're going to rip off from the fabric. The sleeves are long and shoulders baggy. I'm a size 8 and bought xxs so you can't even blame that. It looks horrific and reminds me of a baggy poncho you'd wear at a festival. It's being returned and my dreams of the trench have died.

Love this coat! I’m petite, 5’2”, so it will need to be hemmed, but overall love it. Got Med and it’s just right as I wanted a true overcoat to wear over clothing, etc.

The design is beautiful but I have only had this coat for a few months and the fabric has started to rip around the bottons making it faulty

I love the multi color!! It goes with everything. It’s warmer than I expected. It does run a bit big below the waist. I got a small but usually wear a medium in jackets. A medium would have been huge. I’m 5’9” and it runs pretty long too. It hits nicely at my lower calves. The only complaint and why I gave 4 stars is there is a lot of fabric below the waist which makes it a bit puffy. Also the fabric is clingy/sticky and stiff, which can be annoying.

This has significantly exceeded my expectations in terms of fit and quality. I am fairly tall, with a long body. The arms are surprisingly long enough for me and, while the belt isn't at the level of my waist, this is easily rectifiable by cinching the belt behind to create a streamlined silhouette. A minor point: I would have preferred button fastenings that were larger and in a contrast colour, as there is an awful lot of unrelieved beige when the coat is buttoned up. But I can live with that. It's a versatile and very smart mac. In terms of fit, I am a size 8, usually XS in Sweaty Betty, but sized down to XXS and there is still plenty of room for layers.

Great jacket, looks great on either with sports or daywear. I would size down as comes up large.
