These are sadly not shorts the shape is all wrong more like ordinary pants. I’ve been wearing shorts for years and these are not. Was going on holiday and just needed a few extra so sadly cannot return.

Shorter in the body than low rise shorts I have purchased before and lacking any elastic in the legs. Unwearable. Would have returned but I unpacked and discarded packaging on the basis of having bought this style for many years. Very disappointed.

I have been buying these since M&S stopped making the low rise brief style I'd bought for years. I've always been a comfortable size 14 these 14s are a poor fit and the 16s are huge and fall down. They are not flattering and too baggy round the leg and too tight around the top and cut in slightly the wrong place but with no room for manoeuvre. I wish there was just a normal low rise brief option. I am 62 and seek comfort and practicality for my everyday pants, but I don't want huge knickers that come up to my chest either. It seems that about 90% of the knickers are now aimed exclusively at the under 30s or the extremely glamour market or niche markets such as period knickers (great idea btw) or the very large or very elderly. Normal pants - forget it.
