I purchased this coat in the sale so great price but unfortunately it was very large and had to return it. Definitely need to go down one or possibly two sizes

I bought this as on the model it looks lovely. I bought a twelve which is my size and it was more like a maternity coat. I’m not sure what other body shape would need it to be really baggy at the front. A little big in the shoulders but I’m quite narrow there so that’s not a surprise.

I received my coat last week as with previous reviews i did size down the coat is warm , stylish the neutral colour means I can wear it with most things I did get it in the sale bargain but would have paid full price .

Lovely coat, well made and not too heavy. Sadly I agree with the previous reviews- it is far too big. I have downsized and ordered a 12, it hasn’t arrived yet so fingers crossed!

Brilliant Coat / Sizing SO SO wrong

How did M&S get the sizing on this coat so very wrong. I am a size 10 (well, kind of a '9' if that existed) and I have bought a size 6 - -and that fits. The sleeves are delightfully long. (I am 5'10", 9 stone 6) with super long gorilla arms. The fit is superb. Buttons a bit badly sewn on, they will all need reinforcing. Coat very light and quite warm. I can see it will pill and the fabric will lose shape pretty quickly, but at £49, you cannot really complain.

I bought this coat without reading the reviews. I therefore bought a size 16 as this is my usual coat size. I thought the coat wes lovely style & quality were excellant .The coat was very big and smaller size was out of stock so returned to store

Purchased this for myself and it fits perfect. The quality is very good and the fabric is beautiful and soft. It looks very dressy with anything you wear with it. I am very pleased with the value as I purchased it in the sale, but I was going to buy it after Christmas at the full price so I was very surprised when I went on line to buy it.

Good shape, warm coat, love it. I normally wear size 12 but the sleeve length is a bit short, so I bought size 14 instead, it doesn't look very loose as the shape is well designed.

The coat in the picture is not the coat supplied. As per other reviews the coat is very large, would recommend perhaps 2 sizes smaller! There is no A-line shape to the coat as in this picture. Very disappointing so had to return. Colour and material lovely

Style of coat is nice have received compliments in it .. fabric is light weight and seems that to may pile very easily ... have had it long enough to tell yet but there are definite signs already . It comes up large and would definitely order atleast a size down

Bought with the current offer so a good price for a wool coat. It fits well in a size down (having read the reviews) and the sleeves are a perfect length. I think it will be useful and hopefully long lasting as are my other M&S coats I’ve had for years! I put four stars for fit as it clearly comes up bigger than the size on the label.

I have followed previous reviews before purchasing this lovely coat. Decided to order a size down but sadly still was too big. It’s gorgeous and warm coat but for some reason (I’m a chesty person) doesn’t fit me. Shame I Had to return it, it’s honestly great quality and looking smart coat
