Cream lamp shade when unlit.. whiter when lit if usibg certain bulvs. Good value . The scallop makes it so much more interested for my large chinese lamp base. There is a adaptor ring for slim ceiling or older lamp fittings wrapped in briwn paper , careful u dont throw away
