Good size even for £70 but the one I got is not “live edge “ as it’s completely straight and slightly charred with a blow torch. It’s a good board and the size shape is worth the money. Also maybe better packing would be advisable as mine arrived bashed slightly on the corner from transit.

I ordered this (and a few other items from Tom’s range) as soon as I saw it. It looked to be exactly what I wanted but I was keen to see the quality when it arrived. It’s super and very high quality - a professional kitchen item for the amateur cook, is how I’d describe this wonderful board and the other items I received. It comes with a non-slip mat, which is a nice extra and looks fabulous on the work surface. I didn’t want to chop on it at first (!!!) but now that I have used it for the last 3 nights, the grain is still in tact and it still looks as good as when I unwrapped it. It’s very solid and heavy so mine will be staying out permanently but it’s a good muscle work out if you decide to put yours away after each use. I’m absolutely thrilled with Tom’s range - there was a gap in the market for high quality cooking items for avid home cooks like me and I think this range has filled that gap. I recommend this for all keen cooks and it would also be a lovely Christmas gift, but I am definitely keeping mine.

No, I don't recommend this
Item quality was not as expected, it doesn’t look very natural. I oiled the surface with food grade mineral oil as stated on the packaging. Unfortunately this clearly highlighted an area of the wood (top left hand edge) that has been smoothed/planed in the opposite direction to the grain and distorts the "natural" look of the product. The wood is also very orange in colour, not an oak as expected.
